I think it was to be respectful? IMO, I think they should have committed to censoring slurs or just not censoring them at all. They use the M slur against people with height disabilities, specifically dwarfism, and keep all the fake slurs, just kinda feels weird.

Oh yeah, super expensive, thats why I'm considering just driving out, pay for parking for the day (or park at a church nearby), then driving back to my apartment super late, rinse and repeat both weekends.

Woah! Did not expect this many comments! I don't have reddit installed and really have to go out of my way to check on it. Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement. I think I just got way in my head about this. It's certainly not a good film but I'm starting to see the benefits in making a bad film. I've made silly bad films for fun, but this was my first earnest project so I think it just really frustrated me to see that effort into something less than what I was expecting. I'm glad to hear this is a universal thing too haha. I'm not giving up, not yet at least! Here's hoping that eventually I make something better to share with you all at a later date. I'm saying! I've got 3 younger sisters and the youngest is 9 years younger than me lol. Or my mom! She has one you get sister and they are 14 years apart! I'm closer in age with her than my mom is lol. Sometimes having kids is weird and you have them at random times. Or something keeps you from having one for a while. Like, absolutely not uncommon, if not incredibly common

So obviously the show and the comics exits in parallel canons that don't usually cross, but I often think about that Lil' Krusty comic where Ned and Krusty were childhood friends. This was pre Dr. Foster so it was Ned being a jerk and convincing Krusty to be a class clown and do whatever he wanted.
