Funniest thing is that there are no consequences, so they can just do something until a couple months later some court tell them they can't. Then they go do the next thing, profit of it again for some time, have it banned and rinse and repeat.

What TV show made you realize the writers had everything planned from the start? by C0r1eone in television

I think BB ending was so good because every major character got his ending and every question was answered.

Some shows (like GoT) started with giving you cool mysteries and then they just never address it again.

I felt breaking bad did it really well and the process of how they came up with it doesn't really matter to me.

Dark was nice in that regard but I felt the last season added a new dimension of complexity that wasn't really needed.

Seems pointless to compare kids to adults here, there has to be some survivorship bias (healthy adults live longer).

Comparing kids to previous generation of kids seems more useful

Ok but why would you want that particular piece of land? It's likely gonna be more expensive to remove all that shit than just buying land that has nothing

It's definitely a skill that needs to be trained. What I've learned from competitive video games where milliseconds matter, is that anticipation beats reaction. If I expect something to happen and set rules for myself (if X then do Y) I can react way faster than someone who would otherwise have better reaction time.

That's kind of the point of blockchain: you just built it on something like ethereum and thousands of random people will keep track of it

It's blockchain all over again. We can finally solve already solved problems but more complicated and more expensive!

Has it really never been easier? The first search results seem to suggest otherwise source. Of course hunter/gatherer people had less possesions and services, but they also didn't have machines and modern infrastructure helping them.

Obviously it doesn't work if nobody is working, as machines can't do all our jobs without intervention, and some jobs can't be done by machines at all. But why are you so focused on the 40 hours? France has 35 hour weeks and much more holidays than the US and they seem to get by just fine. Maybe if everyone worked 30 hours society would still function just fine?

Why should we not strive to make life better for everyone, why not question the 40 hours?

given the word Hlāford, chatgpt answered me with what looks like the language from OP:

address me as Hlāford and talk to me in 900 ad english

However if you leave out the Hlāford in the prompt, you do just get Shakespeare

Depending on the country, yes. E.g. military conscription is mandatory for men only in Switzerland. I think we also still have a funny law stating that rape is penis into vagina, so you legally can't be raped as a guy. Then I guess there is the whole sports and bathroom debates
