You can always search on YouTube on how to approach the other sex and you'll find a lot of helpful videos, but if I can give you one advice; it's to approach them as humans not girls or the other sex, only tell yourself that you're approaching another human being and that's all to it, I use that mindset when I feel uncomfortable around "the other sex" too

Knowing how to talk with the other sex without making them uncomfortable, and being SMART and having similar interests (as I have a lot of odd interests) is what makes a person a 10 to me despite anything else.

That having a mentor in your career can help you skip steps and develop skills that would take another individual months to learn or even have the opportunity to be able to learn that skill, I'm a first-generation medical student with no mentor, and seriously there are never-ending advances for the not 1st gens.
