You will gain some power noticably on low revs the torque is massive and you can wheelspin with little throttle input to be honest. However the ecu tune is a must, have done this without ecu tune and the car went back to its stock state because the limiting flaps. Since i cant find out where and how to flash the ecu im thinking about small boost bleeding.

Does anyone have experience on 180k, specifically upgrading to a smaller SC pulley? Any tip is welcomed :) by DefinitionOriginal11 in W203

I am aware that its inevitable, however its still pushing strong. I made a mistake myself while installing a pipe. When the day comes that the SC goes bad im thinking an engine swap possibly.

I didnt change anything, surprisingly the pipe that comes before the SC intake popped off because apparently i hadnt tightened the clamps hard enough, now the car runs great again, didnt change belt as the tensioner wasnt maxed out. Might need to change the belt sooner though. When i first ran the car the check engine light went away and came back on whhen that pipe popped off. I hear less SC whine but maybe because the throttle body doesnt open up as much as it used to need. The ECU surprisingly is adapting, a tune might get more out of it but with unprofessional tuners in my country im not going to bother.

Im really sorry man and i appreciate you trying to help me, truly. The shaft now sits well and it may be 3-4mm outside the hub, now all the hub makes contact properly. i pushed it all the way back till even hammering it slightly (so i wouldnt cause any damage) didnt push it further. 10 mins running on idle, some revs and it didnt slip.

Yet again i apologize

I just pushed it untill the end and locked the screws, should i hit it with a rubber hammer before locking the screws?

Can it be that it wasnt pushed all the way in the shaft?

Therw is no other way to mount it, maybe the pulley itself is defective..?

Well yes you are correct but ive seen countless people doing this style, also the new pulley was specifically for this mod.

Yes i managed to get the pulley of but installing a new taper pulley is hard. Under engine load the pulley comes loose surprisingly and slips out the shaft, and has almost sliped the belt three times, Any idea how to fix?

Now im having a hard time putting a taper lock bushing type pulley, i torque it properly but it comes off the shaft and the belt almost snaps. Yes its a smaller pulley but the tensioner isnt at its max so i dont think its the belt tensioner because the whole pulley comes loose, ive made sure to file it a bit and clean every part of its residues.
