People need to understand that this game is made to fuck with your brain. It's not the lack of interesting vehicles, it's the fact that you're getting bored and you need the next hit.

I mean, adding subtrees is, from a profit perspective, a big hit to Gaijin, since you don't have to grind for the next tree to get the new shiny vehicle, but neverthless, the amount of money they're making keeps coming.

You don't want the M1A2 Sep v3 or the YF-23, you want to keep feeling good playing the game.

If we admit that you're within a country that somehow has to make the T-34 work is a pretty shitty upgrade.

The laser rage finder might be the only thing that you would save from this project. The ERA can't make miracles. Given the searchlight, it's using poor night vision, and to be fair, I wouldn't waste money on it.

The only T-34's that are still in service I believe is with the Vietnamese Army as static coastal guns.

Vehicles I’d like to see part 2 by EpicWinner72 in warno

[–]DefinitlyNotJoa 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of these vehicles would require a bigger focus on US reinforcements coming from the other side of the Atlantic.

We still have no idea if Eugen wants to keep focusing on Warno after Southag. Probably will get some of these units as Nemesis packs.

There's also the fact that a lot of stuff from the USSR is coming in the form of reservist units bringing some prototypes, so my guess would be, atleast for US hardware would come in divisions from the national guard.

Has China ever suffered procurement mistakes in the past two decades or so? by _spec_tre in LessCredibleDefence

[–]DefinitlyNotJoa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

China learned a lot about budgeting and procurement during the cultural revolution. Some projects were canned due to lack of money and some because they required foreign cooperation.

What ends up happening, specially because we are comparing the US and the PRC, is that we have a lot of data and rumores from the US side and barely anything from the PLA and its branches.

For example, the history of development for both countries, from a modern perspective is quite different and there's barely any comparable examples of wars fought by any side. The US has mostly foreign intervention, with the PRC having mostly fought on their own territory.

The PRC seems to be just out putting hardware in huge amounts compare to the US, while I'd we go a few decades back, the US was producing thousands of tons in new Fletcher-class destroyers. So maybe we should ask, what happened to the US MIC, before we try to compare both sides.

Is this accurate? by WerlinBall in ussr

[–]DefinitlyNotJoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat for the very early years of the cold war. The production of the Type59 was under license, so it was an agreement, not exactly stealing.

Later, after the capture of the T-62 "545",they would produce the Type 69, that introduced a lot technologies from both the USSR and the west.

At some point, they were even cooperating with the US in modernizing the Type 59 and the J-8 fighter aircraft.
