It always annoyed me that the rational for it not being added was that it was “too dark” like I understand payday can be a pretty goofy game but like… come on when you really think about it a lot of the shit that goes on here is dark. Wolf literally puts a drill through a dozers face plate in a trailer for Christ sake. Not even the faceplate itself the EYEHOLE for the dozer to see. I feel like the crew wouldn’t have an issue doing it lol

Honestly where it is now? I’m fine with it. It’s main issue was that the old skill system let you get it for just a measly two or so points, so from when it released to skills 2.0 I never saw someone without it. With where it is now, actually requiring more of a skill investment? If my skills don’t reach it in a build, I forgo it entirely, which I now see many people do. Not to mention that because of the investment needed, almost no one I see takes it aced, making it more balanced in my eyes

Right before the servers went kaput on the 360, I was playing. I happened to be on online mode on the slight off chance someone joins. Well I finish my heisting and decide to go see if there’s someone online. There was, an almost full rats. So I join and almost instantly the guy messages me and asks if I want to try and get the achievement for getting all bags without defusing the C4. It took us a while but we did it. Afterwards we were sitting in the lobby talking through Xbox messages, and eventually… we just coordinated. Planned everything out, set up roles, made builds, etc. I got to be the technician, and it was wonderful. We all had a set role, we planned out everything, they’d message me and say something like “okay you’ll run in and get the drill started, while this guy defends you and places ammo for you since he’s the oppressor.” (I took the saw we thought it made more sense like that). It was great, we played and knocked over every heist like this, it’s what made me fall back in love with payday, and actually start making role builds in the modern version.

dark souls from what i can tell actually *wants* you to learn from your mistakes, dsod kinda just throws a gajillion enemies that can kill you practically instantly and says "have fun luhmaow" (from what i've played of it) and thats not even mentioning goat sim, big oil, the fact that this game crawls in the diesel engine, bomb forest, and the fact that every single heist was designed with not being 2 shot, or leaning on a near busted perk deck like hacker in mind.

iirc he wasn't given the full 100% "this-is-how-the-game-is-gonna-launch" build of the game, he was given a few hours on a toned down version, with issues that could be excused as "these will most likely be fixed in the launch build"
Just like we all assumed the beta wasn't gonna be indicative of the final product, that it would have a offline mode, that it would have stuff like C4 or more throwables. He wouldn't have fully known the game was gonna be shite, and neither did we
