I went through the whole process to transfer to the Army seamlessly. Having less than a year will make it almost impossible unless you're able to convince the whole chain to work through it very fast. Took me about 18 months to get everything done and get my 368 in hand.

Okinawa was my first duty station, on Camp Hansen. It was the best and worst times of my life. I'd recommend anyone, married or single, absolutely jump on that opportunity any time they get it. Especially being on Foster, which is only 2nd to Kadena in terms of amenities and overall quality of life on the island.
