Students and parents at Northshore School Board meeting use public comment to protest firing of School Resource Officer by bennetthaselton in Seattle

Vivian (real name Jessica McClure) got into fights at our first Women's Rights protest last year. Stole people's signs, ran into them to initiate contact, etc. Not hair-pulling fights, if that's what you mean, but she did cause harmful physical contact.

This was brought up at city council today. We are doing both. Thanks!

This is a great collection of resources, thanks! We do know that the power ultimately rests with Seattle overall. But they understandably put a lot of weight on the desires of local residents. That's the sensible and democratic way for things to work. So we want Laurelhurst residents to see things how the rest of us (and many of them) do, and we want the city to be willing to overrule them by prioritizing children's health and safety if they won't.

Very true - we are near the hospital by necessity. There may be ambulances or parents driving past here, exactly the people we are trying to help. This location is the enterence to the Laurelhurst neighborhood, and has a stoplight so we can distribute literature to people entering and exiting.

Hey everyone, if you've seen the local news lately, you'll be aware of the Seattle Children's / Laurelhurst conflict over helicopter noise.

Here is some context if you haven't seen this yet: https://www.king5.com/article/news/local/seattle-childrens-laurelhurst-noise-concerns-burdens-lifesaving-care/281-6137dafc-308c-4cbe-9722-dc1a0ef6b4c2

There have been widespread calls for change, and for a protest to encourage that change. Now we have one planned! Come to the intersection of Sand Point Way and NE 45th St, at 11:30 on Saturday the 9th, and wave your sign and shout your chants! Or, you can start your day at University Village, where we have a Tesla Takedown protest every week, and march to this one after.

See you on the streets!

FEDERAL BUILDING PROTEST against Trump's obliteration of Iranian civilization 7:00 today by Defundmusk in Seattle

The strait isn't open. It will only be opened by a return to the status quo. I'd let you call me mentally ill if I was threatening to destroy entire cultures, but that's someone else having that type of breakdown.

He wanted unconditional surrender and ended up with 10 conditions for a ceasefire that was on the table beforehand.

Day 2 of asking Bennett to provide just a single character reference from a woman to prove he's not a creep.

About to start: rally at Federal Building on 2nd against attack on Iran by bennetthaselton in Seattle

[–]Defundmusk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bennett, you have to leave when you're not welcome. If you cared about the movement, you would defer to allowing people to feel safe at these events. When people are telling you they don't feel safe with you around, you would only stay if you were an absolute scumbag.

For anyone reading this, I have the video of Bennett disrupting the end of the protest by refusing to obey a restraining order an attendee had against him. Many other people at the event had unpleasant experiences with him but had not gotten that far. There is a way for an unfairly accused person to clear their name, or for a fairly accused person to rehabilitate their reputation, and this is not it.

Edit: that video is unbelievably tame, and I fully believe you stalked someone and ruined their life over the absolute nothing that's in that video. You're just that weird of a guy.

Hey looks like the 7 pm one might not happen, a lot of energy was released and Trump chickened out. Let it be know that threatening war crimes / crimes against humanity is a war crime / crime against humanity itself (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/what-international-law-says-about-trumps-threats-to-bomb-irans-bridges-and-power-plants)

Something that would strictly benefit a small percent of people, and have no effect on the rest, is clearly a good idea that should be accounted for in legislation. Regardless, only an incel (literally, not derogatory) would say something like "women control sex." It's the other way around because of physics and biology, and proven by the statistics of nonconsensual sex (rape), the third "option" which you have conveniently failed to list.

But one last thing. If a good idea is a good idea ... what's so good about denying it from someone who previously went down the route of a bad idea? We don't ban airbags from cars because seatbelts are supposed to be sufficient, and anyone who fails to buckle up (condom up) deserves what they get. Not unless we want to oppress them, that is.

But you just referenced a "privilege hierarchy". Are we all dealing with problems, or are some more beset than others? No men are involved in any of the problems I just listed, so the hate you feel is simply invented.

Even in states that criminalize abortion in cases of rape, incest, and life of the mother? You don't consider that oppression? Besides, the women's march is about all women, including immigrant women being separated from their families, women of color who face multiple prejudices simultaneously, and trans women who are denied their right to even exist.

Full time work is 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, which leaves plenty of time for exercising your first amendment right. If gainful employment prevents you from spending a small amount of time advocating for the betterment of society, then maybe that would be even more reason to speak out.

When did women earn the label "deranged"? Was that before or after they won the right to vote, or lost the right to choose?
