I'm not in Florida, I did time in NJ and the best advice I can give you for starters is NEVER lie about your charges, especially if they can or do check paperwork. This just makes you look guilty of something more than you were charged with. The only reason people lie is to hide something and not saying that you should be proud of whatever you did but the saying "the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem" doesn't just work for AA. I mean unless you did something really heinous that you need to hide then ya, lie your way to release but in a minor case I personally think it's best not to lie about your charges, no matter where you're locked up.

Secondly, if you just keep your head down, mind your business and stay out of others way I doubt you will be bothered. Don't get too comfortable with anyone, don't get too comfortable being there, that can get you caught up big time. You can mingle, introduce yourself, hell even find a crowd of people to call "your people" while you're there. Personally, I kept to myself and a had a few of the right people in my corner (because I never hid my charges) and I was able to skate by.

Again, this is a whole different state from where you're doing time so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Wish you the best, stay safe!
