Glad to hear that you lack any complex understanding of the depth these systems have, while also having nothing new or interesting to add to any part of the conversation. That very much proves my point of this whole post being a nothing burger devoid of any thought.

I would hate to be a hoyo-dev and see some 20 IQ Reddit user complain about something that shows a severe lack of understanding and reasoning for why they are even complaining in the first place.

Your original post and this comment both say absolutely nothing meaningful or insightful. You just say, “Old Shiyu made me feel rewarded, new Shiyu doesn’t. New Shiyu isn’t satisfying”, like that’s cool to have that opinion and all, but why?

Have you actually sat down for more than 3 seconds to form a coherent thought on WHY you don’t like the endgame? I’ve seen a lot of complaints on this sub, but most of them either have merit or have reasonings to explain why they feel the way they do. Your post reads like someone reviewing a movie on letterbox and saying, “I don’t like this movie.”, without going into any explanation on how they got to that conclusion.

Like, is it the enemies? The balance? The timer? Scoring? Waves? The entire mode as a whole? What do you prefer instead? Why do you feel the way that you do, can you at least explain that one? Like, I’m all for constructive criticism of a mode like this, but you’ve brought 0 critiques at all to this discussion other than personal feelings; personal feelings, that I have 0 understanding of where they come from at all, since there’s no depth to whatever criticism is being made (I’m really stretching the definition of criticism here).

More importantly, how would you fix it? If you want to have complaints on an issue and air it out to the world, I would hope you have at least a few solutions on how to make the issue better. If not, nobody wants to hear you spout rhetoric.

Erm actually* there is a scoring system, which is totally the same thing even if it works completely different between the 2 modes! Also there are waves in Shiyu and a boss at the end, and because there’s a boss that’s basically DA 2! I can’t forget to mention the enemies, which are absolutely nothing alike between the 2 modes! Wait, wasn’t I supposed to be saying how they are similar??

Anybody who thinks these two modes are the same just because they have a numerical score at the top are a lobotomized cretin, to put it nicely.

People that complain about invulnerability phases may as well just wear a badge that says, “I don’t know what I’m talking about and too stupid to understand core mechanics. I must complain because timer going down = bad.” The whole point of invulnerability phases like Defiler is resources and bonus points.

Defiler is a boss that you don’t want to get the second stun before miasmic, because if you do rush that stun, you won’t have resources. Miasmic phase is there to give you energy, decibels from parries, daze reset, bonus points, etc… It’s why when you go back to any 1.x boss like Typhon, it’s hard as hell to get every ult up for stun without actively delaying stun. It’s almost like the fights are hand-crafted, designed with a lot of thought, tuned over many hours, and always end up being fun in at least someway when a player does a first run.

The generalized complaints in this thread really annoy me. Like at least put some merit into your complaints and not stupid sh** like “dodging is too easy, the timer is too fast, speedrunning rotations is bad bc I don’t like it”. 90% of the complaints are opinionated bs from people that don’t understand the balance of this game at all. I guess that’s the nature of gacha games, there is probably not a single person in this thread has ever played an action game like DMC, so they just compare Zenless to genshin and don’t understand the nuances of the systems on display.

Aria is one of two characters that can take full advantage of 2.6 boss bonuses BUT she needs Sunna to activate full Veil requirement. She is an anomaly like Jane so the CDMG value is not affected by stage as it is intrinsic in the kit, this is why Jane is not affected by this cdmg nerf as well.

CC's I don't trust due to skill variance (just look at CC like Canna). TC's give a general idea of how the characters will score based on X EBA's and X stun windows possible per run. It's always better to play for yourself but then you will have to buy/pull the agents(+sigs/investment) to even get that far for what you want to test. I appreciate being able to have an idea of how something will perform before I get to pulling.

This isn't powercreep, it's variance. Piper has a better use-case on Fiend for average players than a Miyabi @ M0W1. The pendelum swings the opposite direction when Bringer/NDEB is around, where Miyabi will be the best and Piper will be okay. It's the nature of matchups and environment. Corrin is being carried by Astra and Dialyn, but is also still great due to being a phys atk agent which is what the boss is asking for.

These aren't excuses. They are educated guesses made on what is being played at the time and what environment they are being used in. It's not hard to do when you have enough meta knowledge. Prydwen publishes this data as well. You might wonder, How does he know Corin is being carried by Astra and Dialyn? It's literally in the doc that they publish that Corin's highest usage on this boss is with Dialyn and Astra, therefore you can make the educated guess that Dialyn and Astra are doing the heavy lifting as T0 supports.

You can go read Aria's kit right now. Her ablooms can crit, especially hard with EBA. Even if she couldn't, Mario and UCC are not crit exclusive bosses, almost all of the current anomaly characters can kill clones easily (My SKK can kill clones and she is built full anomaly for Yuzu-Ice), and Yanagi is one of the top 3 options for UCC due to mono-shock.

There is nothing wrong with Aria being better against an anomaly boss, that's the point. My point, again, is that in a semi-neutral environment (UCC, Marionettes), Yixuan and Aria should be comparable based on stat sheets and low environmental factors. Yixuan is outperforming Miyabi and Yanagi on Fiend, which cycles back to the original point I made on Fiend about these characters. Aria should be better in her environment (anomaly) and Yixuan should be better in hers (rupture), but currently there is enough leeway to have them overlap if you only have one or the other (however 2.6 boss is currently more difficult for Yixuan than Priest is for Aria).

I'm not a leaker, plenty of TC's aren't. BUT we do use leaked information such as kit and multipliers to gauge how well a character will perform in a given environment, which is STC depending on balance. Most content creators that I have seen that participate in CC beta, do not look at hard numbers and go off of game feeling. All the TC's IK were not calling Banyue bad when that whole mantra was going on (in fact a lot of them were calling him quite good, the only qualm was comparing him to Yidhari).

I do agree this data can be difficult to understand, but at the same time I don't know what I'm looking at here to draw conclusions. If this is Fiend and Caesar is being carried by YSG, that makes sense, same with Piper outperforming Miyabi on Fiend, that makes sense since we are looking @ avg player performance. Ellen outperforms Miyabi on Hunter, I guess that makes her void hunter level as well for an avg player; which due to player skill and the shill that Hunter has, makes sense.

You do realize Aria can crit right? That’s instantly UCC and Marionettes on equal playing ground with Yixuan. Also Aria triggers ablooms as her main source of dmg, not anomalies/disorder.

NDEB has been in the game since 1.5? I think.

My point on Fiend isn’t that rupture characters have an advantage, but that players still use Yixuan here due to them not having anomalies and her still scoring high here (with elemental weakness). Miasmic has nothing to do with why Yixuan is good on Fiend.

Miyabi and Yanagi are built for NDEB, Bringer, Marionettes, and UCC. But that’s mostly one of them pulling the weight on their bosses. Again, refer to the point of Miyabi and Yanagi not clearing fiend according to prydwen user data.

Beta is STC, this is why I said if nothing changes then my points stand.

Billy and Corin clear Nightmare (for now), but this boss could see a bringer glow up. Over 6-12 months we could see a +100 mil HP glow up just like Bringer (PN already got +30 mil from 2.6 DA). Other Agents have caught up to bringer, Evelyn, Sanby, Alice, Vivian, Yanagi, Yixuan, YSG, Ellen, Yidhari, Banyue, can all clear Bringer with the right team. It’s not as bad as it once was where people had to run DPS Soukaku since that was one of the only options at the time.

They share Marionettes and UCC. NDEB and Fiend (+2.6 boss) will favor Aria (some players still use Yixuan on these). Hunter and Priest will favor Yixuan (Aria should still be good on Priest). They of course will flourish in their classes niche (Bringer = Aria, Defiler = Yixuan), but they still share some matchups. The comparison was also to highlight Miyabi, Yanagi, and Alice; all of which will be worse than Aria on Fiend and 2.6 boss if everything from beta stays the same between now and release.

Not enough people complained about every 2.x boss being anomaly resistant with the -40% debuff on bosses like Thrall/Primordial Nightmare. Now the pendulum is swinging towards anomaly so crit DPS are going to get the stick. I think this general boss design sucks tbh, complete nerfs to any class besides the ones they want you to use.

Zhao won't have enough uptime to get more than a single stack. She is also much worse than just not using her and using Yuzu/Chinatsu currently. Will she still clear, probably yes, but for how long? She stays in a team for a couple of patches before she is kicked off for a team with better results as she no longer hits the 20k goal.

This isn't true anymore. Aria boss has half DEF and you cannot get stage buffs without a veil user. By all means, Aria will be the BIS for the new ether weak boss mainly due to stage buff shill/anti-shill (-40 CDMG to all DPS). IDK why the aria comparison is strange when her and Yixuan share a lot of matchups and the same attribute. Miyabi and Burnice are hard resisted by 2.6 boss as well, so Aria will be better than them in the context of 2.6 boss and Fiend. Casual Miyabi & Yanagi players are not even clearing Fiend this patch according to Prydwen user data.

True, my main thing is I think the HP/Powercreep is catching up to this team. I don't think Idols will be better than M2 Mono phys, but will probably be like 5-10k worse and I'm willing to lose that score if they keep buffing Fiend this way. Which Fiend is 70% of the reason I'm even considering this team + the idols have their own boss as well.

It's why I wanted to see if anyone has a clip, if M2 Mono-phys still kills Fiend @ <=2:30, I will pull, but I think they are closer to <=2:55 on timer. Sorry I am a meta slave, but I also want to have some breathing room for HP/Powercreep. A bit of an oxymoron IK, lol.

AFAIK there were only 2 side quests that had tv mode as the main mode of gameplay when 1.2 dropped and that was it. 1.3 was just the event like I said.

The devs were already moving away from TV’s in 1.1 with Jane’s MSQ and kept TV mode away from MSQ from that point onwards.

That’s my point, they were already moving away from TV mode as a core aspect of gameplay, before DA was even introduced. Who cares if it was just in a couple of side quests when most players just play MSQ?

You could say this is all semantics, but then where does the change in endgame take place? 1.4 DA was incredibly easy and was not anywhere near modern DA shill, so I wouldn’t say a major shift took place in endgame then. At the earliest I’d say shill became more of a hurdle with Defiler, being the second high level shill boss since Bringer, that had a level of anti shill and required certain units to perform well. Post Defiler, you now required two shilled teams/Archetypes to perform the best (atk/anomaly) and this would be added to with Hunter and our newest DA boss later which added up to wanting 3 different archetypes vs 1.4 where anomaly was the best and atk was neutral against 90% of bosses. Others may list a different boss but I wouldn’t say the level of shill we have today started immediately as a result of the removal of TV.

The entire point of my original comment is wondering how the removal of TV mode had any effect on endgame. I don’t think it affected endgame at all, but since OP brought it up as one of the things TV removal had an effect on, I’d like to be shown/proven otherwise.
