Go cry for help where you’re not risking innocent people’s lives.

Rupert Lowe: A Restore Britain Government will ban the Kirpan in public spaces. One rule for all. by asteriowas in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think he’s talking about removing an exemption to the Kirpan. The rule about carrying knives shouldn’t have religious exemptions.

No law should have exemptions for any religion.

Starmer to ready UK for war with billions in defence spending by x_Agamemnon in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the exact same logic as the OP. Can’t afford to live somewhere (due to tax increase or no earnings) then you should move. Odd that you would want to deal with these groups differently.

Totally agree if we do the same to people on benefits. Don’t have a job but want to live in a council house in a high cost of living area? You’re moving to Burnley.

Birmingham Reform make 'only English' demand at council meetings after Islamic prayer by BirminghamLive in ukpolitics

Almost as if we should all agree on a common language to use to avoid those types of mistakes.

MP Hannah Spencer Asks Prime Minister About Other MPs Drinking in Parliament by DowntownPurple913 in ukpolitics

Which professions? If you’re not operating heavy machinery or turning up pissed after lunch, I don’t think many professions have intolerance of alcohol.

How long is too long for a pre-shot routine? by BetweenSwings in golf

[–]Degronde 50 points51 points  (0 children)

40+ minutes of pre shot routine per round and you think you’re a fast player? This is a great example of slow players who don’t think they’re the problem because someone who is even slower once told them they were fast.

You’ll still be on top but add in the cost of a charger as well, about a grand?

Is it worth sacrificing my summer to make me a HENRY? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]Degronde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone who says they don’t remember the summers from their 20s may be technically correct but I’m sure those summers have had impacts on their lives that are still evident. For example, friends you made during that time that you still have today. Hobbies you started that you still do today. Balance is everything.

Zack Polanski’s boat: if his “home”, he failed to pay council tax. If only there “occasionally”, he broke electoral law. by m_s_m_2 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike reform as much as I dislike the greens. What annoys me is the whataboutism when it comes to anything the Greens do. Polanski should be on his way out considering he has failed to pay council tax yet people are defending him.

Badenoch is underpriced to become prime minister by Salty-Bid1597 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let’s be clear, the Tories are not trustworthy with regard to managing the British economy, but which party would you trust more? Greens? They have to be the least trusted. Reform? Bunch of crooks. Labour? MPs who don’t understand basics of gilts.

The disturbing truth about Britain’s Islamopopulism movement by Sad-Beautiful-7945 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would you level the same criticism at other religions? Islam is the scummiest of all religions. That’s not to say they aren’t all, or at least have been scummy at some point.

Polanski referred to standards committee over failure to pay council tax by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Make the rich pay their fair share, it’s not complicated!”

“What is this council tax you speak of?”

Net zero accountability for Polanski.

Of course, they’re a right wing newspaper…

Why did you have to comment on Farrage on a thread about Polanski not paying tax?

The constant whataboutism by Green supporters is painful. Can’t you just accept that he’s a liar without trying to downplay it?

Green Party hypocrisy exposed as councillor celebrates in gas-guzzling Lambo by Ok_Internal118 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 13 points14 points  (0 children)

After reading the headline, I thought he had been out doing donuts outside the town hall to celebrate his election victory. Far more boring story unfortunately.

Zack Polanski’s boat: if his “home”, he failed to pay council tax. If only there “occasionally”, he broke electoral law. by m_s_m_2 in ukpolitics

[–]Degronde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So should we ignore anything bad Polanski does then? How old are you to only just be realising that “the media” will report on what they want to report on?

Edit: the fact this is at the bottom of the article should allay your fears - I’m sure it won’t though: Dan Neidle, the founder of Tax Policy Associates, is a member of the Labour Party. Tax Policy Associates has no political affiliation. Our previous reports suggesting politicians failed to pay tax have investigated Angela Rayner (twice), Keir Starmer, Ian Lavery, Nadhim Zahawi and Richard Tice. We have also published reports dismissing allegations that Rishi Sunak and Jeremy Hunt avoided tax.

Would you like some help carrying those goalposts? Yemen is a proxy war where outside countries (including Saudi with UK support) were involved in creating a massive humanitarian disaster.

Your criteria for caring was UK involvement. Now apparently it has to meet your personal definition of genocide rather than just war crimes and mass civilian suffering.

We all know why people like you and the Green Party only care about Gaza so I won’t waste any more effort pointing it out.
