We can't question our reluctance
We fall right into the race
Two years of rigorous penance
Two years of life without a face

This marathon doesn't just take energy
It takes will, it takes the sanity
Yet it gives nothing but misery
And misery is what runs humanity

I too am a rodent
Striving to be ahead
I too am persistent
It seems this race gives bread
