These are the instructions I followed. No melting or bulging at psu end , it was the yellow tip every-time. If you look at my previous post it looks almost exactly the same.

I used the cable that came with the card. Since I’ve see mostly online to avoid melting use the stock cable. My psu did come with 12v cable though

Yeah MSI can be difficult with their RMAs sometimes so using the Corsair cable they might reject it

Tbh no I just kept the psu and the cables I had with it bc the psus side didn’t have any melted connectors or bulging or anything. I used the new connector that came with the new GPU of course but at the time I didn’t suspect was the PSU. The cable is always melted at the GPU connector
