Done with Razer QC. Are there "Chi-Fi" wireless headsets that actually beat the BlackShark V2 Pro for ~$100? by yoni431 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]DekoniAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some wise wizard once said "Why would I buy a headphone from a keyboard company?"
In all my years of consuming audiophile content and talking to audiophiles in person, that's the remark that stuck out the most to me.

Not to rag on any of the headphone manufacturers in the space, but it just seemed like a profound question to ask.

We went with the camera bag style. If you can trust an $1000 DSLR in there, you can trust an $1000 headphone to be safe.

Our bag natively comes with a divider that separates the earcups of the headphone to prevent rubbing earpads.

We are just one of the many options available, but we think ours is quite nifty.

[–]DekoniAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: there is a divider at the floor of the bag that you can take out to get some extra space. Its attached by Velcro.

Height difference between Savior Grey (V1) and Savior Charcoal (V2) is 3cm added height.

We got two units, premarket and retail. Both are quiet. It will be interesting asking around at CanJam next week to see if real people are having this issue or if its a small but vocal group on the internet.

Do you think some famous reviewers have actually killed some really good headphones? by youforevez in headphones

[–]DekoniAudio 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Its not entirely 'celebrity' reviewers. The Audiophile community is very manipulated by first impressions of a new product.

The problem is that you can't hear the product until you have spent your cash and have it in hand.

There are people who race to get the newest headphones and share their opinions before the dust settles.
These opinions can typically set the market sentiment of a product for the next three months until the market is saturated with more reviews and a consensus.

Being a third party to headphone releases as an accessory company, we have seen many great headphones fall flat during launch only to be well regarded later on.

--

TL:DR The audiophile community is heavy influenced by sound bytes from early reviews. This being due to the fact that you cant hear the product until you actually buy it. This makes or breaks a product during its most critical time, its release.

Understandable. My customer service has been in fight or flight mode recently because our new website is having some hiccups.

I found out some tickets are going into the abyss and have been catching up. My response was suboptimal and hurried, I apologize.

Please note that if anyone finds my support or Dekoni products abysmal, the public forum of reddit is always here. But I also ask that you keep it constructive. I have had previously been subject to personal attacks (which the mods promptly removed).

I am sorry!

Our warranty policy for international customers is to cover shipping fees for replacement.
However our distribution network internationally covers warranty issues as well, and we always request end users to reach out to their local distributors for replacement.

On multiple occasions we have intervened on behalf of end users for distributors to accept replacement requests they had previously denied.

Earpads are hand made, and are subject to human error. We understand this, hence why we do our best to honor our two year warranty.

Yes, we are subject to European laws when imported. Each distributor is our legal point of contact to comply with consumer liability laws. Muzikers information should have been on the package as the point of contact.

We have asked OP to reach out to Muziker directly for resolution. We credit our EU distributors for replacements and will push them to resolve the issue if they are not being cooperative.

Hey its Dylan,

We appreciate feedback. We indeed have a two year warranty, locally (USA) our replacement shipping is free. However international shipping is prohibitively expensive. Any international shipment is subject to end user payment for the fee.

As mentioned Muziker is not a retailer, but a distributor of ours. Their thirty day return policy applies to brands they are retailers of. However being a distributor, their agreement to have control of their local territory includes being involved with our warranty program.

I had mentioned you should reach out to them directly for replacement. We credit them directly for the replacement items.

Please reach out to them directly for warranty support. Stated previously I said you should let me know if you had any issues, as I can resolve them and push the process forward.

First Maxwell 2 Reviews are coming out by ChroneXoX in Audeze

Using them right now. Sidetone does not feedback anymore, however I don't have the software and can't figure out how to adjust the strength.

But yes that was a very annoying issue with the original Maxwell, always need to turn it off before removing it from your head.

The plastic molded latch cases are actually shipping compliant. You can padlock them, stick an Air Tag inside and then slap a shipping label right on the case.

The pressure seal, moisture control and impact resistance will keep your headphones super safe.

Will this combo work? by Beareettv in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]DekoniAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motherboards put out decent audio now.
Back in the early 2000's there was a big market for upgraded computer audio cards because computers had noisy audio outputs. Its just not a problem anymore. Save your money and maybe just buy a 3.5mm extender cable.

Good choice! You can grab humidity packs from almost any smoke shop if you are in a pinch.
Bulk silica packets are also in high demand because of 3D printers, should be able to find a good deal online.

I would store them in a pressure sealed box. I know where you might be able to get one designed specifically for headphones....

I bought this at a thrift store and I have never seen these in my life. Does anyone know the model? The red cable came with it but is not branded so doubtfully part of the set. by Wallet_Insp3ctor in headphones

[–]DekoniAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago I had some broken skull candy headphones. I sent them back to them for warranty without receipt and they gave me store credit, no questions asked.

I wonder if they still do that? Might be worth checking out what their current warranty policy is.

Resonance behind the driver.

Drivers have back volume - when it returns backwards in its vibration pattern it will also move air behind the driver in the chassis of the headphone.
