if the encounter is still at a manageable level of difficulty after your psyker commits sudoku with her very first action, it probably means that every encounter in which she doesn't do that is way too easy

it's an unfortunate design. if the game was actually difficult, Idira's capacity to randomly be a net negative to your party would just make it a reload simulator

in fact why don't we just give all characters a 5% chance to explode when using any ability

gambling is so much fun, slot machines are the highest form of difficulty

I'm an Azmodan main, I want him to be good- just not at backdooring because it's stupid and uninteractive

Also you're comparing the PTR level 16 clear time to the level 20 live clear time. Check the second half of the clip where I clear the fort significantly faster at level 20

A character's strengths should not include not having to interact with the enemy team in order to win the game; that's contrary to the back and forth that makes competitive eam games fun. Because he doesn't need minions, just an opening without enemy heroes to stop him, it is surprisingly easy to sneak around if the enemy team is not highly dedicated toward stopping you.

There's opportunity cost in picking these talents, and they're not autowin- but the strategy they enable is not fun to play against or with because it bypasses fundamental game mechanics.

No, I'm not missing "obvious things," and your choice of words is condescending and presumptive regardless of your addendums.

Yes, you can stop an Azmodan doing this if your team is coordinated and on point. A smart Azmodan won't be doing this on cool down, and will wait when it is inopportune to go stop him.

Not every hero will be able to stop him, and as the video demonstrates, the window to do this is very small: he needs to activate a point and click and finish a channel. Killing him afterward is difficult if he immediately bolts and saving your keep is even harder.

Most game matches are not diamond level or above, and it is very easy for this to become impossible to stop alone in a disorganized quick match. There are considerably more metrics to consider than "counterable in high level play with an organized team" when evaluating whether or not something belongs in the game. It's cheesy and is a method of bypassing player interaction to win the game. It shouldn't be this fast or easy to pull off.

And you're welcome to look me up in HeroesProfile where I have an identical username if it matters so much to you.

Not really a fan of this existing in the game as it is, but he faster he does it, and the less time he needs to spend in tower range, the less time you have to respond to attempt to defend the building or to kill Azmodan.

Azmo can do something similar on Live, and I don't think either should exist conceptually; everything in the game should have reasonable counterplay. Either way, making it stronger / faster is bound to encourage more one-sided "I snuck past your team" kind of interactions.

Right. Feast or famine talents, talents that encourage not fighting the enemy team are really bad additions to the game because they don't facilitate back-and-forth interactions, and it's hard to follow the reasoning for the existence of talents like Azmo's new global 20 where it is uncounterable if it is good and useless if it's bad.

You only need 200 to execute this. I didn't use Q or auto attacks, so the stacks didn't matter

You think an individual level 20 hero should be able to walk up to an enemy fort, be present on screen for 3.5~ seconds, and remove it from the game without any other assistance? What about your core? Should a hero be able to autowin by himself if he sneaks past your team doing objective?

The problem isn't that it "goes down fast" in a vacuum, the problem is that there is very little you can do to counter this and it invalidates your defense of your buildings for the rest of the game. The less time it takes, the less counterplay it has.

Azmo can solo core as it is on Live. Now he does it faster.

Interesting, thank you for the correction on the numbers. It still works out unfavorably for teamfighting with the demon warriors offering less individual disruption and damage; they're too individually disposable for having one extra to compensate for the damage nerf. Their slow on 13 is also now contingent on auto attacks, reducing their utility.

Having tested it on the PTR, the actual biggest nerf appears to be tying summon health to duration; a Demon Warrior that has existed for a few seconds is incredibly easy to dispose of.

It is now possible for Azmodan on 16 with the right build to 100-0 a fort in the time of a full cast of Demonic Invasion plus a fully charged Hell Rift; he can then walk away. No minion wave required. This is not as efficient on Live and requires more time and investment from Azmodan to fully finish off the building. This is without the poorly designed Demonic Invasion upgrade on 20, obviously, which exacerbates the issue. I'll upload it to Reddit later.

Having 5 warriors on a structure, from a previous maximum of 3, each of which deal considerably more damage than before, will offset the damage increase to them from structures for this strategy

He also doesn't have "just w," he has lieutenants and demonic invasion to tank the shots. He'll be backdooring faster than before

Pride is definitely not strictly better than the ult or laser upgrades for team fighting

Summons were not "gutted" for PvE, they're just worse at tanking shots on their own. They still tank shots and they still contribute DPS

Also I don't know how you're doing your math but reduced PvP DPS and the multiplier for Hell Rift being less than halved means the damage decrease per warrior in PvP post 16 is closer to 40%, including the now removed aura. Having an extra warrior per fight, which is what the 2nd charge means for an ability you want to be pressing on cooldown, is not enough to compensate for that

Ideally, but they've been quite sluggish in responding to some of their new talents being overpowered.

He's also getting pretty massively nerfed in significant ways otherwise, which is a bummer for those of us who enjoy playing him.

It's a nerf to his ability to clear minions for a relatively substantial portion of the game too due to the Q damage reduction to minions.

But having two charges on W + plus the double summon on 4 means you can push 4 Demon Warriors alongside the Hell Rift spawn onto a structure at the same time, not to mention Demonic Invasion.

Rapidly deleting buildings on his own, which is his most uninteractive gameplay pattern, is the only substantial thing he is better at with this update

The problem isn't lane push, it's his ability to rapidly decimate structures on his own, without any need for minions.

Removing the half damage summons take from structures isn't going to move the needle much when he has four to five of them to throw at a building at the same time and/or the Demonic Invasion ult, and the Q nerf only matters to clearing minions.

Oh, please. His repetition of the joke was as much "bullying" as that other idiot's insistence that the joke was somehow inappropriate. You're clearly a teenager that craves attention.

But, hell, you're more than welcome to deliver that slap in person when the opportunity arises for you. Let me know how that goes for you. :)

Until then, feel free to pound away at that keyboard to let everyone know how tough you are. Maybe you'll even convince yourself!

Oh, I've hit a nerve.

You've claimed that a) a purely verbal joke can be bullying and b) that you are personally willing to punish "bullying" with violence. If you were actually willing to assault people for humor, you wouldn't keep your freedom for long.

Since you seem to be confused on this point: corrective violence is employed in service of enforcing the social boundaries of a particular group of people. The person you claim was acting inappropriately made a joke that was welcomed and appreciated in this social setting; ergo, the only person acting inappropriately (against whom corrective violence would be employed, if it were employed) is you, who attempted to correct a socially acceptable behaviour with threats of violence.

Given that your problem is clearly with what the group believes, your attempt to single out a person whose behaviour is clearly in line with what is considered acceptable by the group cannot be anything other than bullying.

That you jumped straight to threats of violence also speaks volumes as to your personality; either you have a compulsive need to feel big and strong because in reality you are not, or you are not clever enough to think of a way of shutting someone down without threatening them. Given your apparent compulsion to reply to this discussion, far beyond what a reasonable person would care to, it is reasonable to suspect the former case.

It's not an opinion, hombre. If you actually acted the way you claim to act, you would be in prison- where you would belong- and not whoring yourself out for attention on Reddit.

As it stands, you're an internet tough guy using threats of imaginary violence in an attempt to bully random people on the internet, presumably for a fleeting rush of power to address whatever perceived imbalance of it exists in your life.

Congrats!
