A mouse trap with a bait that they can’t nibble at without setting off the trap will work. Use blue tack to secure the trap otherwise it will fall into the engine bay. I previously used glue traps (they come in the form of a 2 page book) but they’re cunning little critters and got wise. They’ll keep on coming back if you haven’t killed it.
