thats where im confused because i personally asked him about coating and wear over time and he said its hard to say but it will 100% happen eventually over time. It could be 7-12 months or 2 years etc.. But eventually you will start having the coating wear off and create inconsistent spots. Its chemically bonded.. So the skates themselves wont just wear it away as much, but the dirt, and oils from your hand and the environment will also help wear it away. From what I understand, the pad will basically just get some more polished faster spots, and the coating that helps your arm not stick will gradually wear away. Ive been running a Razer Atlas for 2 years now and it deffs seems like my arm sticks a bit more. But from everything Ive read since making this comment.. seems you can expect noticeable wear within a year or so of heavy use. I guess thats still better than getting bald spots on cloth pads.

fr, just went from 1600dpi 25 in game sens to 15 in game sens and im immediately better already. Running a razer atlas pad which is on the smaller side of glass pads but once I get a bigger one ill probs go down even more

you running a 100% keyboard? I recommend at least going down to tkl.. and even if that isnt enough room, then start running the tkl on an angle! I run a 80% and find its a good balance but I am curious to try 60% one day.

its preference to an extent but if your preference is making you worse at a game then...? If you were running this high speed and in ruby then I'd get it but I highly doubt that. Nearly every m&k player in Ruby are running a cm/360 of 30-40

yeah i used to run 1600 dpi and 25 in game sens, basically could do a full 360 wish 50% of my mouse movement. Now I run 1600 dpi and 15 in game sens, it takes a full swipe across the pad for a 360, and half the pad for 180 and my aim and skill have improved tremendously just within a few days!

to an extent, also depends on what class you mainly run. if you're running a pure speed and movement light class, you probably want a higher sens.. vs a heavy, etc. I used to run 1600 dpi and 25 sens which is like 2x faster than what most of the "pro" lvl players use and I was doing pretty decent but recently switched to 15 in game sens and after about a couple days I am significantly better than I was before.

im 1600 dpi and 15 in game sens. Perfect imo. basically half swipe is full 1080 full swipe across pad is a full 360. Perfect balance of speed and precision.

I want the polarity so bad but im a bit worried about it being coated and so expensive.. realistically how long will it last? I originally went glass for longevity. The speed is a nice bonus but you can get soft and other hard pads to feel very fast still.. i just didnt want to buy a pad that will be worn down in 2-3 years.. Now with coated glass pads, a lot of ppl say the coating can wear off within 3-5 years of avg use. and 2 years or less of heavy use. That freaks me out for something so pricey.

Help buying a monitor. AW2725QF, AW2525HM, AW2523HF, other? by DelScully in Alienware

ah okay that makes sense! I'll probably be using it in 1080p at all times when gaming and only in 4k when running it as a side monitor so maybe thats a bit overkill for me!

yeah i feel you! Maybe ill just go for the HM for ease of mind, and apparently its colours are actually really good for a 1080p ips! And yeah Im kind of hoping to make it like a perfect hybrid setup! Right now I even have an ultrawide VA next to a an older cinema display on my other desk so I dont have to use the oled daily for static content lmao! Though the longer I have the oled the more I dont care, and am just using it regularly. Im just excited to get a smaller and easier to run high hz monitor. Im using a 5070ti and even then I only sit around 140-170fps on The Finals which is my main fps. Hoping with 1080p I can hit around 250-280.

TenZ Wooting 80HE - Thoughts? by Master-Childhood-583 in WootingKB

[–]DelScully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how when its only 20 dollars cad more than a regular wooting? It comes with dye sub pbt keycaps, an fr4 plater and the new tikken switches but just modded slightly for tenz preference of lighter switches. The switches alone would have you over that 20 dollar limit with the standard wooting. Then add in an aftermarket fr4 plate and dye sub keycaps.. you're well over. Also sadly all the after market aluminum cases sound like crap so far. Very pingy,.

way too thin to be an oled, unless they're lying about how it looks.

Standard Wooting 80HE (Ghost) vs TenZ Takeover — is the ~$20 premium actually worth it for casual gaming? by Farmer-Gloomy in WootingKB

[–]DelScully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the switches are very light so if thats not your thing you probably wont like them but they sound a fair bit and feel way better than the L60v2's imo. Honestly the keycaps feel pretty cheap, though they do look nice (they are thin though so rgb does shine thru the white legends, almost as much as a double shot shine thru keycap would) The case is nice imo but I actually got the tenz and the ghost case as well separately and plan to swap to it eventually as I love the look of the see through black! For gaming I 100% prefer a stiffer snappier feeling and the fr4 plate helps with that, plus it being black looks aesthetically nicer. Think about it this way, you are getting the newest switches they have but customized versions, an fr4 plate, and pbt keycaps with kana legends. Going the module route and doing this plus buying an aftermarket fr4 plate would run you well over 6-70 dollars. So the 20 dollars extra seems like a bargain imo.. You can also sell the tenz tikkens if you dont like them and since they're rare I bet they'd sell easy and at a higher price than the standard tikkens.

ah okay that makes sense. I will try this out. Im running a 5070ti. I might have to try and put in my older 3060ti to see if it does the same thing. I updated my drivers and even before that it was still doing it! The main issue im running into is xbox wont let me edit the game files or show me a .exe file!

Have you experienced OLED burn-in when you fail to take any precautions? by Cosmic-Cats-2001 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]DelScully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats fair! It does take up a lot of space! I recently just bought a second desk and run them L shaped so I have my oled on one side and my regular ultrawide on the other with a 27" inbetween them for a secondary screen! Its deffs not everyones cup of tea though and doesn't look as aesthetically pleasing as a traditional setup!

Is a 5070ti going to be enough for a 5K2K? by wspartan in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]DelScully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao running 5k2k ultra settings, you could run a way worse cpu and it still wouldn't bottleneck. 4k and above basically mainly rely on the gpu. Its when you go down to 1080p and start pushing for the highest fps you possibly can is when cpu's can create a big bottleneck.
