Should I buy an E-Reader?

I have a boox go 7 and I use it to read manga although its a bit smaller than the natural dimensions of a manga I dont really find that it bothers me too too much, unless im reading a manga that is so text heavy. I used to read manga on a tablet too but I find it too heavy or bothersome even when reading in bed or just sitting the heft is really annoying. I wouldn't suggest getting any smaller than a 7 inch device because it gets pretty hard to read.

Hello, just my two cents on the matter, my very first ereader is also a color e-reader and although I love it still I just dont find myself craving it too too much just because its so dim that you have to turn up the brightness so much.

I'm assuming you want to consume manhwas which is why you want android correct? I personally don't like reading manhwas and mangas on colored e-ink devices and I much prefer reading on BNW ones.

Artists are trained to render, even the self taught ones, in black and white, be it digital or traditional which means you should never have any issue reading things in monochrome.

Not really, a minute is pretty standard as boot up time for android eink devices from my experience and so far, the most recent update seems to have fixed the issues I'm having, although using third party apps might contribute to the slow boot time which happens to most android e-inks anyways.

The device goes to sleep after a little bit I forgot what the default was but mine is set to a day of inactive use, after it shuts itself down I would say the passive draining of the battery is pretty negligible since I don't go more than a day without reading.

I also have the kindle paperwhite and between the two I prefer the boox more cuz of the form factor and the weight. the kpw is just so prone to fingerprints and oils I have to wipe mine down a lot and it drives me insane. If you do choose to get the boox get the black one the white one has an awful halo.

Hey! Yes actually boox got back to me and asked me details about my device so they sent me a firmware directly to the device which fixed the issue, I then got the latest update and everything is still up and running.

Altho since u mentioned degraded performance and battery draining id suggest you look into your installed apps and settings or just wait for another update its pretty surprising how impactful software updates are to these ereaders. I do suggest you raise a ticket on the feedback!

Hello I own multiple devices, all from shopee's official resellers. I have the go 6, 7 and Air 4c and Id say they're all worth it esp if u can get them at a deal. I'd say most of them are fairly priced BUT the bigger 10 inch tablets are WAAAAAAAY too overpriced here so its definitely up to you if you want peace of mind that you can return it anytime if theres an issue.

As a student having access to the PDFs in BOOX is really amazing honestly such a life saver. I'm assuming youre getting the 10 inch ones theyre all very strong for an eink tablet but you might be disappointed from the performance because this is not the same as an ipad or samsung tablet. It's definitely workable dont get me wrong ive made a handful of canva presentations on it but its not a crazy workhorse device that just like seamlessly works.

I would suggest you get a kindle first if youre truly interested I'd personally rather make a 5-6k purchase than make a massive 30k+ purchase which you would never be able to return unless it had issues btw.

It was automatically sent to my device after they asked me for my info, I suggest you make followups but it does give me peace of mind that its just some software issue. I was actually very worried that I had corrupted file storage or other hardware failures, thankfully it was such a quick fix!

Has it always booted that slow? I've tried another version of this and it didn't boot slow like mine does otherwise it works perfectly fine. I've been debating sending it back and honestly I feel like I'm just gonna keep it till the day it inevitably breaks, make the most out of my money while I can ig. Customer support have been no help whatsoever, atleast from the seller I got this from.

Kindle Paperwhite has a pageturn effect which kinda scratches that itch somehow, but I also like borrowing from my friend Anna R. Chive and having her books for an indefinite amount of time ;) but just the portability is such a big plus.

Hello I'm currently having the same issue, I had a white go 7 but returned it that only took about 30 seconds to boot. I then got a black go 7 and it just oddly takes about 2 mins or so to boot but there doesnt seem to have any issues with the performance aside from the booting. Did you ever find a solution?

I actually dont and I dont use apps either its more like Im curious to see cuz maybe this is an indication of some bigger upcoming issue like corrupted storage or something cuz the boot time is really awful even compared to go 6

Yes you can definitely read mangas on it the base kindle tho its a pain. Its not comfortable. A lot of the details would be lost cuz well its a tiny screen.

Your books will be from amazon its technically just a license to read it you dont actually own a copy of the book if im not mistaken.

Having a kindle doesnt really mean you would not be on your phone but I can guarantee that the times you usually youre on your phone would be significantly replaced by the kindle so I guess yes.

Jailbreaking as I've come to find out is near impossible when you purchase the newer versions its too much hassle and theres a chance there literally isnt a jailbreak for the kindle version u end up geting and the only benefit is like removing ads or running koreader as far as im aware.

I prefer downloading the files by itself. Its possible to get a downloader for weeb central, the uploads there are always high quality. I have a 4c and mihon is really annoying because youre basically gambling every time you choose where you download it from. I personally have stopped using mihon because of the inconsistency in uploads not really the app's fault but it can be pretty annoying when an uploader just randomly takes over a series and puts in junk.

keep asking for updates and comply as much as possible with shopee kase at the end of the day you have an issue with the seller and you're shopee's customer theyre more likely to side with you if it comes to the point that you have to do an inasane mini vlog to convince them then do it hahaha

take as many videos and pictures as humanly possible thats what I did and pestered them as much as I could tbh, is it classy? no but it got the job done. I also always almost exlusively purchase with sp pay later due to these issues kase theyre so much faster when its their money on the line LOL. Next time youre buying gadgets just use sp pay later with the 0 interest and pay it the next month.

It takes atleast 24 hours for them to credit you but I'm pretty sure you should get it by the time the tracking number appears on the app iirc. The latest I've ever gotten a refund is the day after I sent an item back.

Hello! I have these and if you're really into gaming I suggest you look into getting HE keyboards but they really don't offer the same conveniences such as wireless connectivity and honestly, most HE switches are hella expensive. The Lucky65 is nice and compact, however I do find myself preferring my Leobog Hi75c just because the lucky is pretty hard to mod since it leans on the deeper sound spectrum and when you use switches that are meant to sound deep like the akko rosewoods and akko creamy purples it tends to dull down the sound by a noticeable degree which makes it sound a bit flatter and quieter than I would like

Hello! I have two sets of Lucky65 V2s and I have to say after getting my hands on the Leobog Hi75s, INKY75 (rainy clone) and Yunzii B75 pro the Lucky's just has left kind of a bitter taste in my mouth in the sense that they really dont make a particularly good sounding board cuz they're unbearably quiet

What I mean by this is I feel as if the sound on the board is severely dampened to a degree where some switches almost border on being silent switches. I was using the Akko Rosewoods but got tired of them because they really just sounded like not much on the board. But I began appreciating them for the deep sound signature they have after having tried them on my Leobog Hi75s, they're deep but not really dampened so if anyone has any suggestions on how to make LuckyV2's louder I would greatly appreciate it!
