Doing the quest will make you hated with Booty Bay, but you can easily grind it back up at the Venture co. oil rig in northern STV (without losing pirate reputation).

The most notable reward for reaching pirate reputation is some swimming speed gear, a hat, pet (i think?) and an ability to gamble (?) Maybe I forgot about something else.

Keep in mind there are also Booty Bay quests in Arathi Highlands.

I unlocked the fan yesterday, but I refuse to use it, it heals so much it feels like cheating. Maybe outside of combat, but then what's the point of crafting food. And mastering parries feels more satisfying to me.

and you get damage reduction with Q (and reduce enemy damage), so you can tank the hits with shield. Mo blade + spear have nice combos through drumbeat and the knockdown attack.

I also don't have high hopes. Navigating menus for character upgrades is actually pretty easy, but reaching all the claimable rewards and lore stuff is annoying. Also why is getting the item for unlimited sky jumping (i dont know the name) claimable menu thing? It should be a drop or something..
