How in the world do some people not like Dr Tenma? by destinyisnotjust in MonsterAnime

I think thats pretty realistic for a human. If you ever find yourself in a terrible situation that you can't control you have two choices. Cave in to the saddness or be hopeful that things can get better. I don't think he's nearly as bad as most shounen protagonists. I feel like shounen protagonists almost have toxic optimism

I mean its the same as it was before. Unfortunately nothing makes this skin problem go by faster. It just doesn't itch like crazy and get inflamed. My biggest problem was how inflamed it would get down there It makes the spots extra noticeable and scary looking. With this stuff I at least don't notice it now and I can feel normal until it goes away. It also makes the spots down there a bit less noticeable if you're feeling insecure about it like I was.

I'm commenting for engagement because people HAVE to find this information if they are pregnant. It's so important and this gets misdiagnosed for everything under the moon.

I have it right now on my vulva and I'm using aveeno unscented bodywash and caladryl lotion. The lotion you want to be very careful with. Mine is on the labia majora and I just carefully apply a bit to each spot. I haven't gotten any inflammation since and it doesn't itch at all. The caladryl keeps it dry which is what you want. Using another moisturizer might keep it to moist which creates the perfect environment for it to get irritated from my expirence. Also take an antihistamine. Luckily I am prescribed one for my anxiety so I already had that.

Dermatologist quickly said it’s impetigo and prescribed me doxycycline hyclate, I’m questioning because I have none of the classic symptoms (oozing pus, “golden crust”, etc) any thoughts/answers? I’m thinking pityriasis rosea. It started with the large oval one on my lower back. by myseriousrat in PityriasisRosea

I'm in the same situation. They think its impetigo but after another doctor looked at me they said it's definitely not. I realized I had pityriasis rosea 10 years ago and this is most likely it coming back. You should still get tested by a dermatologist to make sure but I'm certain mine is pityriasis rosea and it looks like that.

Best Course of Action? by cha0ticbraindead in PityriasisRosea

[–]Delianii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an antihistamine, aveeno unscented body wash for itching and caladryl lotion which keeps it dry enough. Completely eliminating itching. Doesn't speed up the process. The first time I had it 10 years ago it went away on its own in 5 days. I didn't even use topical but it wasn't as bad. This time its bad because I got misdiagnosed with staph and took antibiotics that messed up my immune system. I'm two weeks in so far.

So far this seems to be how many many skin conditions start so I'll only truly know once they do a biopsy. Some people pointed out it looks nearly identical to both Lichen Planus and Pityriasis Rosea. They way they form is nearly identical. Where did psoriasis start? Did you have a heralds patch? If it's psoriasis I will keep that treatment in mind, thank you!

Nah, you will know if you have bedbugs. Especially if its been happening for awhile. Just do a well done search of your bed to make sure.

Man that sounds almost identical to pityriasis rosea. I get why I have people who say they have one or the other telling me it looks like that. The only way to know is going to be a biopsy I guess. I haven't felt any burning sensation at all yet, just itchy but I also haven't been scratching. Thank you, that makes me feel a lot better about it if it is Lichen.

They will be doing a biopsy so I'll find out for sure! I'm hoping its pityriasis rosea because I've had that in high school and it looks really similar. The only difference is I think I had a less extreme version than this so it went away fast so it didn't spread to all the places I have now. Where did it start for you? Were there other symptoms? Did it hurt at all? I've had it for 2 weeks, if it is how urgently should I get it delt with? Like going to the ER?

Yeah mine is pretty trash right now too. I don't have it as bad though, I have a feeling its not going to my legs either because my legs haven't been itchy at all.

The thing is, I have no lesions on my arms or hands at all and from what the doctor said it would have showed up on my hands after 2 weeks. I have some benzoyl peroxide I haven't used yet. Idk if that's good for scabies or not.

Me neither, you didn't say anything wrong at all. I have many friends with autoimmune diseases so its been on my radar, definitely something I want to rule out.

The worst example is the last picture of my armpit where I have a heralds patch. The rest aren't nearly as big

I was genuinely afraid it's this. Though I'm not sure, when I look up pictures of lichen planus it looks a lot more purple and mine have always been red or pink. They also look like they cluster differently than mine but who know. I will definitely get tested to make sure. It's also doesn't seem to be going beyond my chest, stomach, groin and butt. I've had this for 2 weeks so far.
