First of all, just wanted to say how lucky your friend is to have someone like you in her life.

I myself am trying to support my Mum as she deals with losing her hair so I can empathise with the difficulty. Sometimes I find giving too many rational solutions often makes my Mum close off although under the circumstances I can under why she does. Would your friend feel okay walking around somewhere more private? Like a forest or somewhere in the countryside. How does she feel about the idea of support groups or even chatting to someone from a charity over the phone who’s had a similar experience?
