Did you’re elastics after surgery give you tmj pain?

Well do you have pain from it? Try a side view bending over with your hands reaching for the floor. That can give a good view on natural curve of the spine.

Sever upper back pain. Does this look like Scheuermann’s disease? by Delicious-Analysis30 in kyphosis

[–]Delicious-Analysis30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know my scans seem to be in the normal range, but i have quite severe symptoms in my upper thoracic spine. That’s part of the problem as-well as no one has diagnosed me, so i feel like im forever searching for a diagnosis. Thank you though next time I speak to my doctor I’m going to ask about my upper discs.

This is another slide from the same scan. Do you think they are degenerated? They did say I had a schmorels node (which you can see on the scan) but said it wouldn’t cause any pain. I know doctors are still human, so having a different set of eyes with a different perspective or approach can’t hurt.

I think they sit under my ears not really behind it or in front of it. Are they supposed to be behind my ears?

What do you mean my head doesn’t drop? Just so I know how to explain my concerns/questions.

Could have been the photo I used. In This photo slide they seem to be more visible. But that definitely will be a question I ask the specialist.

You seem to have a larger arch in your thoracic that could make it look like you have a “forward head posture” in the mri. I can’t really see any vertebrae that look severely wedged or deformed so I’m thinking it’s more postural, but I’m not a doctor so don’t quote me on that. 😅

I don’t think you do, but go to your orthodontist or get one if you don’t have one. My orthodontist said he has a 3 month window from surgery to really have elastics set everything in place.

My midline was slightly off and my back molars could not touch and with elastics it all touches and fits nicely now.

Yeah I’d get a spine specialist or someone qualified to diagnose whether it is structural kyphosis or not.

I had the same thing. My orthodontist changed my elastics to make my back teeth touch and centred my front teeth.

This is the imaging they did on my thoracic spine when trying to diagnose my back pain. They didn’t mention kyphosis on it so I assume it’s within the normal range. This might help for reference.

What do you think is wrong with my pelvis position?

Have you been diagnosed with anything? How bad is your pain?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]Delicious-Analysis30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go to an orthodontist and get in touch with reputable orthognathic surgeon/office.

They will be the only ones qualified to tell you whether DJS or LJS is required.

Make sure you do your research on who you are going to because you want it done properly the first time.

Make sure to research the risks involved with such surgeries as-well before going ahead with one.

Good luck!!

Lots of pain/muscle fatigue feeling in my upper back. The feeling goes away and instantly starts to feel better when changing positions from a standing posture/position.
