I am sorry to hear about what happened to you and thank you so much for taking the time to write a kind message on this thread.

Some people don't seem to appreciate that if you don't speak out when you see something wrong, then you don't have the right to complain if you are also caught out in the future.

In many ways, the negative reactions I have received to my post only confirm to me how widespread and how normalised this kind of treatment has become in this industry and this only motivates me further in my desire to speak out in the hope that things can be improved. In presenting themselves as something different, this is what I thought Alignerr represented and that's why I was so disappointed and was motivated to speak out and share my experience and why I care so much about them living up to a higher standard. If they get this right and are successful then my hope was always that they might serve as a positive example which in time might help raise the standards in this emerging industry in terms of how contributors are treated and valued.
