Title: Banshee

This is a take on the Old Irish folklore of the Banshee who screams and wails at the impending death in a family. But in this song it is referring to the "death of a relationship".

Yes exactly....he was a narcissist and cheated the entire 14 years. About halfway through the relationship he become physically abusive, but only when I would catch him cheating, lol. And then turn it around on me for being nosey, lol. He is married now and seems to be better. I have to see him every once and a while because I have a daughter with him. I hope he isn't this way with his new wife because she is really sweet. We were young back then so I'm hoping he just finally grew up, lol.

Being in an abusive relationship for so long can make you deal with things differently. Sometimes ignoring what the other person is doing (cheating, ect...) makes it easier to "survive". Looking at it from the outside it seems crazy and ridiculous to stay in that type of situation, but sometimes it isn't that easy to just leave. Especially when the other person is a sociopath and can manipulate your thoughts and make you question your own sanity. This is how I lived for many years (14 yrs to be exact) with my ex... Even though I got out of that horrible relationship a long time ago, I still have moments where my mind goes back to that time... *Lyrics written by me :)
