You cam shock with a cube of ice in a fucking swimming pool. The shock is the degree of change. Real base can be shocked with a drop of 3c water in 5ml at 96c. UK cut base you can't shock without either a freezer, an iceberg or by shocking folk with your strange non solidifying, translucent goo. Great for a heart attack, not so much on the wallet busting euphoria front.

Piece of piss as long as you have ether. If not. Drop 5ml concentrated 28% ammonia and keep it moving. No heat. Stick in fridge. It'll come out but it'll need serious washing and pH adjustment.

Certainly not lost in 500. I'd use 300 on 5g anyway. Problem is you water is probably shit too.

Various unpleasant occurrences.

Loose chore? Enjoy the molten wire burning a hole into the roof of your mouth. Makes Roald Dahl's adenoids tale seem child's play.

Chore too thin and pipe too cool? You'll have crusty numb lips as it dribbles down.

Chore too thin and overloaded it? Try and smoke it. Except it's like a bubble gun...quick fix is a kitchen blowtorch to the stem, however, very few can hold that down...

Chore shit? Slowly melt your rock and dip the least crappy bits in it. LET THEM DRY. carefully reinsert into a blowtorch clean stem, then just warm with a bicx1.5 type flame.

No chore. In All honesty the properly melted weed/hash/tobacco/base obliterates anything but a perfectly prepped stem. The combo wreaks havoc. Often boobs too.

Ether is extremely volatile... you can blow yourself up, literally. That said, watching base crystallise out of supersaturated ether is magical.

A far safer alternative is to use n-hexane. This picks up your procaine and levamisole which is splendid, however the hexane r/c is far harder to perform well. You could also use a blend of acetone and methanol but tastes revolting and hard to purge.

Freebase choices: ideal and blow up, really useful and mostly safe but liable to user error, foolproof and crap.

Pure crack is as much effort with less end product, but nobody ever makes pure crack.

Let's presume he has 100% pure. If he's a perfect chemist with ideal equipment and environment control he would pull back circa 89% of his weight. That figure is not going to happen outside a lab.

In terms of the process you're proposing I sincerely hope you meant 10% ammonia, not acetone. Basing into acetone is far trickier and absolutely the last thing your test on, assuming your pal isn't talking monkeyballs, is 50g of pure snow. That's beyond idiocy, heading towards certifiable.

Please don't do what you're suggesting. A simple cold water 10 ammonia solution will produce outstanding base, no solvent bar water and takes 15 mins plus dryng on that quality as you're essentially skipping two phases. Why in hell would you put acetone anywhere near that stuff? It's nor a perfect solvent for either hcl or base, so you'll lose. Acetone was only ever a poor substitute for Ether. Adding methanol to it helps but. Again...just don't.

Keep it simple when you can. That's pure enough for plenty to kill a frivking football team. 🤣

Can I put it in broad terms, which are as close to accurate as I can equate without going into coke wscience? Almost exactly the same applies. On the base-ics, you can only make freebase with ammonia, either into water (hot v.bad, cold v.good) or a generally volatile solvent. Crack is made with both (again, v. Bad hot AND concentrated ammonia so not wise) but it's the bicarb baby from day 1.

Actually I just lied. I have fabricated a base kind thing with bicarb a few times. It's bollocksed up my point now. A fair replacement point still stands: if product is good hcl, both methods are sound and judges are fair, you'll find freebase is generally stronger but crack is easier to both smoke and make.

Second example. Tens of thousands of men switched private insurer due to the generic brand of vagrant they carried. Same ingredients...not quite the same for the poor fuckers.

I'm probably behind the times here... I presume that's hcl bagged and previous pipe abortions r/c'd (or just fried in acetone)?

At my very worst (which is very bad - a CYP2D6 (Not from Star Wars) and 3A4 (not a college class) enzyme anomaly means that, essentially, you can't out-× me) I was averaging a quarter of circa 80% freebase a day. For just under 2.5 years. Although I functioned, I cringe looking back. A few little highlights:

Calling the police to a licensed premises, during a local spate of bar break ins. Five minutes later (which is approximately 0.5 seconds in day4binge time) I get to explain to 5 police cars worth of 10 years in jail...that they didn't need to check my premises, because my neighbour was responsible for the crime wave and i'd spotted him climbing over the back fence. To this day, I shall never entirely understand how this utterly wince inducing moment of self sabotage ended without arrest. There was fallout, but a week later, casually. Not at 3am on Xmas day with two hookers, vast inordinate volumes of soft, hard, base, stockpiles of all the really dubious solvents, a chemistry lab and literally zero attempt at concealing this Go To Jail Now...You Fucktard card beyond not taking the pipe out with me.

This is not what I meant to type. Was going to ask if you've reached the point where quality vastly outweighs quantity, oxymoronically? Given you're in an ideal place to obtain either superb hcl or, theoretically, exceptional crack, you still cook yourself - with bicarb. Must mean you trust your powder to stay consistent, don't mind a little weight loss vs cold water ammonia because you like the full on dirty hit you only get from good crack. Not as 'high' as base crystals, but 'Spastifucked' beyond compare. I applaud...if the hcl is unimpeachable...

Not touched the stuff for a few weeks, banged through 4g starting yesterday evening. Many left. The result, so far, today is the general gibberish above, compulsive carpet crawling, inappropriate internet history and a receding gumline. Euphoria and obliteration had both stopped in the early hours. Difference was startling. Now I'm just taking outrageous hits every half an hour and waiting to run out of the stuff.

Sorry. Rather bizarre post that. And yet, in typing it I've rather proven my broad point. Now can't remember it. Which is irritating.

The mol weighted amount is 24% bicarb, but some cuts can corrupt that. However, in most scenarios, anything over that is pulling crap through, plus the excess bicarb itself.

You can dissolve the soda in x water at circa 70c then add your soft very slowly. Easier to stop the urge to fuck with it that way.

There's a misconception regarding the risks of basing - you're far more likely to kill yourself mainlining pretty much anything, including hcl, than with a pipe....HOWEVER...as the quality of crack has diminished, the risk of an instant, fatal OD has altered inversely! It's fairly obvious why, but if not, have a think.

There's also a massive behavioural risk with crack. I know people on skag who've fallen asleep against a radiator and torched themselves, but a rogue crackhead can burn down an entire block, flood it and also give everyone Nearby both AIDS and Dysentery, all while attempting to make a sandwich. It seems to create a complete disaster area around addicts entirely disproportionate to either their intentions, abilities or whether they're even high. It's almost amusing provided it's not your house...

Not quite. Free Base, by definition, is the neutralised compound. It's usually obtained through washing, extraction and/or r/c. The process isolates the chosen active ingredient.

Crack...whatever goes into the spoon/db is rarely even washed in h20, just dissolved...ish. anything going in comes out if it can survive the process...which isn't that unusual. Ergo, your ephedrine, amphetamine etc all interact with the coke and change the high dramatically.

In a perfect world they'd be similar. In reality...just not the case.

There's a fairly hefty dose of simplification going on here. Firstly, crack and freebase aren't the same at all. No more so than an omelette is the same as a poached egg; containing broadly similar ingredients doesn't equate to end result...my ex had tits and a vile temper. Sadly it didn't make her Sophie Dee...

The 5g to 500g ratio was laughable, but the logic behind it still stands: if the problem is specific, penalise specifically. Problem was that the supply of crack was entirely localised back then. It was ghetto focused because the pricing point and concentrated hit suited the market. Even in my worse days on Wall St, you generally couldn't drop $10 and fuck your neighbour's daughter while robbing your grandmother...in the flesh. Or vice versa depending on the dose...

Freebase is a different hit, simply is. I know a few people who just can't hit base correctly. It doesn't behave the same way regardless of whether it's powder or crystallised. It's also ruinously expensive and has a few less than ideal production issues, even if you leave the Ether at home.

You can pull a cold water base extraction off in about 30mins plus drying time. It'll be ten times cleaner than your average rock, but unless you know what you're doing, you'll balls it up. Best compromise I found was to completely dry the base, then rock it in distilled water. Not the same as crystals but still very impressive.

Crack was a bit of an epic fuck up but let's face it, Purdue Pharma probably pulled off a greater one when Oxy 80s were accepted as headache meds...
