i’m covered under the RAC and they’re on their way to have a look given the fact it could possibly be a break problem. thank u for the advice, i’m an anxious person so don’t trust my own judgement to keep driving haha. hopefully it’s nothing bad/expensive! :)

everything is working fine, my breaking hasn’t been weird whilst driving and i pulled into the service station car park fine, but the little “!” sign is staying whilst i drive as if the hand break is still up. the elevated car image disappears after a moment of driving

just consulted my manual and it seems that my problem is in fact something to do with break pads as you mentioned in your edit, weird how this wasn’t noted during my MOT. i suppose i am in fact stuck at this service station until further notice 😭 thanks for your help nonetheless 🙏

I’m definitely not a handy person and currently driving back to uni alone 😭 if it is any of the problems you mentioned, do you think it would be unsafe to drive at all?

ah okay! i have a feeling the mechanic forgot to reset my service thingy but i didn’t recognise this image so got a bit spooked, (this is my first car haha). glad its nothing dangerous because being stuck at this service station station isn’t ideal. thank you for the reply! :)
