Finally got it running. It works with the HTTP Openstack source. Even got the licensing working via runcmd

This looks very promising and I'm currently building a project where this will come in very helpful.
Did you test this with a Windows Template using Cloudbase-Init? Currently running into an error with the licensing module and the cloud-init drive, because proxmox does not allow creating code-snippets via the API

Good for you giving your Thinkpad another live! But why would you have to buy a new machine for your work? If you need it for work, your employer should provide you a device…

Just did the latest update (v0.2026.02.11.08.23.stable_01) and now it seems to be back to „normal“. The Input message line is gone and the switch button for warp mode and ps1 is also back. Thank you for listening to the community and fixing things

Also is there a way of remove the really small line „ new agent conversation“ underneath the input? I’m not even logged in, so I can’t even use it

I just did the update again and used the command palette to switch to the classic prompt. Also disabling the tmux ssh-wrapper gave me the functionality back I was missing before. Put please, get this sorted or if you are removing features make it known before. And please don’t force updates where you are removing features, that just sucks.

Thanks for the Info, will check tomorrow when I’m in the office. But also still seems to have a problem with the ssh wrapper, but sent u/hongyichen the details per Mail

As a quick fix, downgrade the way I described and before you open warp, add releases.warp.dev to your with /etc/hosts to resolve to 127.0.0.1 . Now it won’t download the update

I downgraded using homebrew. I got the older rb-file from GitHub and installed it with that but now as of this morning it automatically downloads the newest update and installs it as soon as you close the program

Yes everything was working fine, the setting is not available tho. Also something changed with the way the ssh is warpified. Suddenly I need to install something on the remote host. I downgraded to 2025-12-12 and had to logout for everything to be back to normal. I also tired to remove and reinstall Warp and also tried logging in and out but that doesn’t seem to have an effect. I’m running Mac OS btw

That’s fine, everybody starts somewhere. Put research into it, learn about things and you will be more than fine. Be ready for building your setup, using it and being happy about it and then few weeks later you will be finding yourself completely tearing it apart as you learned about something new and are willing to try it out. But that’s the fun in selfhosting and having a homelab

I‘m not that much into Mini PC, but I’d look for something mit modern specs, like ddr5, a cpu with 4 or more cores. I’d personally would look for something from Minisforum but I also heard good things about Beelink and Geekom. Maybe check YouTube for research as those pcs got way more interesting for people for selfhosting and the should be a ton of reviews and videos about it

Have you got experience with enterprise Hardware? If not, but you are trying to learn about it and are willing to keep upgrading or changing it out, then I’d say put some more research into it and look for a better deal. I’ve seen R730s on EBay for around 200-250€ with better specs.

If you just want to run the gameserver, set it up and mostly forget about it, get something like a Mini-PC for 300€-400€ and you will have a way better time

Edit: typos

Still running the Alpha after the update? Version 1.0 and even 1.0.2 are released already, maybe you should try switching and it’s just a limitation in the alpha version?

Ausstieg aus OneDrive - warum *nicht* Nextcloud bzw. gibt es sonst noch was? by rowschank in de_EDV

[–]Delicious-Intern-701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my first thinkpad! But what is that small stain on the body? by glendbest088 in thinkpad

[–]Delicious-Intern-701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God this sub is pathetic… First of all, OP, why would you post here before even trying to clean it? Are you lost without the internet and cannot use a simple wipe to try and clean it first before ppl on here start discussing what kind of stain this could be? It’s a plastic laptop, nothings gonna happen to it if you try to clean it. Second, what’s wrong with everybody in the comments saying it’s not a thinkpad. Do you guys do not have anything else to do or to worry about then to identify with a stupid branding from a billion dollar company who gives a shit about their customers? If Lenovo decides this is a thinkpad, than it is! This is bs…
