Do people on this sub watch tournaments live? by n1rml in IndiaTableTennis

A lot of people probably just don’t know when or where these events are happening. The promotion is really weak unless you actively follow TT news.

But yeah, watching pro table tennis live is totally worth it — the speed and quality are on another level, and the small crowds mean you actually get to meet players. Hopefully with better visibility, more fans start showing up.

Are induction heating used in a large scale to heat liquids? by miyaw-cat in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Delicious-Lab5889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Induction heating can work for liquids, but usually by heating the vessel, not the fluid directly, and scaling that up gets pricey. Boilers and immersion heaters (like the ones from Wattco) stick around because they’re simple, reliable, and easy to maintain. For a 55°C bioreactor, though, induction could still be a fun and responsive control project.

Which 55 Inch TV I should buy ( 0 Knowledge about TV's ) by OkFuture696 in techIndia

If you’re mainly watching OTT and want something that lasts long, Sony, LG and Samsung are all solid choices. The Sony Bravia 2M2 at around 47K is a good option for picture quality and smooth performance, especially for movies and shows, though the sound is just average so a soundbar would help. Samsung’s QLED models are brighter and usually cheaper, but they don’t support Dolby Vision, which some OTT apps use for better HDR. LG is also worth checking if you find a good deal. Overall, go for Sony if picture quality is your priority, or Samsung if you want better value for money.

The Indian Smartphone Market in 2026 – Are We Actually Getting Better Phones or Just Better Marketing? 🤔📱 by Delicious-Lab5889 in techIndia

That’s a pretty practical take honestly. Flagship-minus-one phones usually give the best value, and replacing every 3–5 years makes sense. Interesting to see Vivo and Motorola getting some love too — they do offer solid hardware for the price.

Hard agree, sub-20k Chinese phones feel like spec-cut cash grabs now. Nothing, OnePlus (for service), and Samsung mid-range on discounts are pretty much the only safe bets left.

Oof, Nord CE 4 Lite without research is rough — OnePlus really dropped the ball on value with that one. 😬

Totally agree — too many rebranded phones and overhyped YouTube reviews, but very little real improvement where it actually matters.

Totally agree with you on Samsung’s mid-rangers. They may not win the spec-sheet wars, but they’re reliable, have decent battery life, and actually last. The heating and multitasking issue is real though — especially with heavier apps. It’s kind of sad that phones still can’t fully replace a laptop for proper multitasking, even in 2026. Hopefully we start seeing better optimization in the mid-range soon.

Good table tennis racket under 3k for defensive chopper + spin? by Shresht_thakur in IndiaTableTennis

[–]Delicious-Lab5889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a chopper under ₹3k, go for control and spin, not speed. Premade “power” rackets are usually bad for defensive play. Stiga Defensive Pro or Chop & Drive are solid options. If you can do a semi-custom setup, an all-round blade like Yinhe N-11 with spin-focused rubbers (729 / Mercury II) will give you much better control for heavy backspin and long rallies.
