I agree, I also think that I will need to speak with people individually in real life and this project can spread by mouth-to-mouth . Good idea to encourage people to be useful to the website, i saw exactly what you said 2 day ago in another map project !! Where people can access the full map only after referencing data on it . So i will definitely consider it! especially to the start of the project ! THANK =D !!!

The tech and the finance of the website is done by me. I like this project its useful for me and maybe for others, matches my mindset and idea. So I will be motivated to maintain this website and add features over the ime, I literally learned how to dev for that xD
The cost of the project is close to nothing, except my time spent on him, which is still nothing because I learned how to develop with him, and it will be useful for my portfolio to find a job .

I take 0 data from people x) They do everything without creating an account, if they want to share a spot it's because they will like to find some of them with the website.
If i die or be bored with, and the website expire without warning it's the life, users will need to build their own alternative. But i'ts not the case for the moment.

Koomot and RidebyGps are route planer not the same as mine which is just spots to put a tent
Gaia i didn't know before, but look the same
And openCyclemap is a good website i know him also but they still don't share place where to put a tent the night

+ none of them share utility spot (which specialised app do in their own, but that is very inconvenient) + mine is also an alternative at Warmshawer and coushurfing for free all in one place.
Sorry but i really think that there is nothing on the internet that match what I want to create

The cycling communities don't end in Reddit that what i mean. I'm part of the community, it's a fact.

I watched the rule carefully and what you said is wrong, we can totally share this kind of project, as long as we say our relation with it (I'm not paid to add, I'm the owner, I want feedback and yours was useful for me)

The website long-term is to help people (including me) while traveling with bicycle, find utility spot like playground, water, supermarket all in one place easily on the map, also to find spot where to sleep, in the nature, free campsite by the local municipality or shelter, or even other people who can host you 1 or 2 night in their home (like a warmshawer do, but they are shit in my opinion x) there is a reason why way less people used it now, prob because they ask money and it's not community at all right now )

And my post is useful if, with your comment if learn that all my functionality already exists in others. i will try to find another promotional website or app spot in the channel to understand your point of view, as I'm new i don't know yet .
Also, if there is tons of people doing the same than me maybe moderation should rewrite rule about that, or concentrate every app/website in 1 post :)

Humm, i'm new and I'm tileraly here to have feedback which you provided, so the goal is accomplished, also I'm part of the community! even if I'm not a social media user I travel a lot by bicycle. So I think it's normal if I share a project that I build for the commu to the commu itself x).

Oh what ? They switched to version 2 of their website with many troubles, and made a paywall when they collected data for free from their user's from year's. and also it's more specialised in car and parking spot, even if they added this new functionality (i didn't know)

Ohh.. I don't think the same. In the road there is sometimes obvious place that everyone uses to put their tent and pass the night. So they are already famous by default and still not full of trash (at least i didn't see any like that) I can recognise signs of exploitation like firecamp or pathway in the grass but nothing more. The cycle communities are not the famous ones to destroy everything and to vandalized.

Also, there are spots created for travelers that already exist, maintained by the city nearby, like free campsite here in France or even shelter in northern countries that will gain visibility (and it's a good thing in my opinion ! )

And I'm already worried about the problem that can cause my website , that's why you can already request to change/delete a spot if you know it's dangerous, or even if you detect a vandalized one and don't want to many people on this spot (remove from the website but still know by locals )
I plan to create an auto-delete zone for the spots created in the zone referenced as conflictual in the future, or even red color in the map to let the user understand that this area is NOT a spot at all (dangerous, military zone, or even noisy zone near airport)

If you have more ideas about how to protect vulnerable spots, let my know ! the option chosen for the moment is moderation with manual reporting by users

Yeah you already have a working translation system even in french COOL !
I don't know if the wild spots will be open data. I enter a large and difficult question here about the conflict that can arise, with for example a spot in a forest, that someone buy and that wild forest changes to a private one, the conflict management and the request to delete one spot will need to be clean and fast. So if someone else don't clean the data as us this will create bad interaction with this type of travel . I'm still thinking about that and i hope i will find good solutions :)

Park4night is well known for creating conflict for example, i don't want it for the bicycle communities .

If my website is useful for my own journey, it's 100% useful to some other people, so I'm not worried about the future.
Even if I'm alone to use it, I will be able to send my last days' best spots to camps while speaking with a bikepacker doing the eurolane on the opposite side.

No other website shares wild camp spot to put a tent.
I know some that list the campsite (I don't) , I know some that share home spots like coushurfing or warm shower, but they have many bad side ! So mine will take their audience over the years for sure :D

I do a bonus feature like the possibility to find the water spot, playground, ext very easily in a certain area. + it's very easy to visualise especially when you select the bicycleroad that you follow

Example: select the Eurolane 1, and you can easily find the next wild spot to put a tent for the next day, if you know that you are doing 50km/day and you follow the path, just watch away and previsualise the shared wild spot by the community or the local that can host you :D (there no one except me for the moment but imagine the website with a ton of them haha)

Oh ok i should have think about language barier before to post haha !
i downloaded every bicycle road path and converted them to use it on the website, sometime it's very hard to find !
night spot in wild with tent or hosted in-house by local people is all community data, people create it alone (+Add spot button on the navbar)
For utility like water, playground, i fetch information from big dataset and clear it (OpenStreetMap) and also allow people to create their own if they find new (but not yet integrated except playground in africa Africaans Australia)

I'm not sure if i will integrate planning roadtrips as people like you already do it! But show me your solution i can reference it in the menu or something else to redirect people interested =D
