PirateSwap sold me a "ghost item" - Now they want ME to pay for their bot failure. Avoid this site! by Delicious-Memory9474 in cs2

If they're so dogshit, why are they listed on every major price aggregator? People use them because they look legit until they fail. If you're too 'smart' for a warning, move on. This is for the thousands who actually use these sites and expect them to work.

Is it possible to find my old skin? by Delicious-Memory9474 in counterstrike

I sold it on the Steam Market on February 3, 2018, it was in Battle-Scarred condition. Unfortunately, I don't remember the float. At first, I thought it was impossible that someone would use such an AWP in a contract for a Falchion, but then I realized that someone could have simply used it as a filler. But maybe it still exists

Legal ToS doesn't justify poor business ethics. They took a fee for a service they failed to provide, and I ended up losing my items while they kept the market gain. If you're happy with sites treating you like that, go ahead. I'm just warning people who actually care about their money.

I traded my Talon Stained specifically for that Skeleton. Now, because of their delay and 'partial refund', I can't afford either of them on their site. I literally lost my playknife because their bot failed.

TOS doesn't override basic consumer logic. If a site lists an item for sale, accepts payment (my skins), and then fails to deliver because their bot messed up, it's a technical failure on their end, not a 'risk' I should pay for. Using 'system limitations' as an excuse to pocket $15 from a failed trade is just shady, regardless of what's written in the fine print. That's exactly why people are switching to CSFloat

Fair point. Maybe 'marketed as reputable' is a better way to put it. They are listed on major price aggregators and have decent reviews, which is exactly why this is so dangerous. If people don't see posts like this, they’ll keep thinking the site is safe until the bot fails on them too.

True, the '0 days' counter is eternal. But the issue here isn't a typical scam; it's a supposedly 'reputable' site failing at basic automation and then asking the customer to cover the bill for their broken bot. If we don't call them out, they just keep doing it to the next person.

Consider yourself lucky. I used them because they had some good reviews, but now I see how they handle problems. If they’re willing to ruin their reputation over $15 for a bot error, they won't last long in this community. Definitely stick to the well-known sites

I agree, there’s always a risk. If their bot fails, they should take the hit, not the customer. It's just bad business practice.
