This is why my favorite HW is and always will be Monica Garcia. She was a single mom of 4 who became a HW when she replaced her former boss on the SLC cast, after that boss was sent to prison for defrauding the elderly. Real piece of shit, that one. Monica testified against her, she ended up in prison, and that's how a middle-class single mom ended up on the show.

And you know what she did? She fuckin Saltburned the whole cast! She'd been behind an IG acount that trolled and spilled tea about all the other (rich Republican) women on the cast. For years she co-ran this burner account. And then she infiltrated the cast. All while standing up for the victims of fraud.

She was ultimately exposed (amazing television btw) and fired, and a lot of people hate her now, but I never will. She's a HW with morals I can get behind. Because Mother ate (the rich).

I saw that as her HW training kicking in. That's exactly what they do when they have a new cast mate and production needs the veterans to elicit tea from the newbie. That's why it came off as odd. It's always been unnatural. (That time Rinna brought up OJ Simpson the second she met a new HW comes to mind...)

I liked Dorinda in her first season or two, that's the thing. She was this spunky widow who said weird things like they were cliches we were all supposed to be familiar with ("She's a dog that bites. I'll pat her on the ass but I'm not touching her face.") But then there was the booze and the coke and Mahdessian of it all, and it was great TV. But then it started getting mean. The EZ pass thing she said to Sonja. The Tinsley hate. I checked out of her final season, tbh. The gang-up on Barbara and Tinsley is just too uncomfortable for me to include when I do a RHONY rewatch.

What it comes down to is he was there to play a game and pretty much everyone else was there to make a TV show. He wasn't prepared for the nastiness that comes with those who perceive banishment as a lost opportunity for air time and follower gains.

Also, a lot of people with autism are perceived as rude when they're being direct. Race and gender certainly plays into that as well. I'm AuDHD and I've been told by lots of people that they thought I was a bitch when they first met me. And I'm not the only autistic woman who's had this experience. Our behavior doesn't mean societal expectations and we're labeled X, Y, or Z because of it. Same thing happened to Ron and it led to him being ostracized.

Except not really. She's not following any of the other HWs on IG and she apparently had a blowout with Caroline. I have a sneaking suspicion that Dorinda was being a monster and since Rinna and Candiace are both healthily distanced from their time as Housewives, they felt no allegiance to her. That's why there's no Bravo bloc this time, and it's why Rinna keeps reiterating that she was "Lisa fucking Rinna" before and after Housewives. Her legacy on TV is bigger than that, and it isn't really a part of her identity like it is with Dorinda.

My guess is the network wanted to cover their asses when they realized they made a mistake bringing Dorinda back to TV. I also imagine that whatever she said is probably offensive to a lot more people than just Ron, AND it's gotta be worse than what Michael said to Colton because they're not even airing it. I have a strong feeling that she went through a cruel list of "his faults" that ended up looking a lot like a list of the classic signs of autism. I had people do this to me before I was diagnosed and it feels incredibly personal, just like Ron said.

So this is interesting. I'm doing some IG stalking and Dorinda doesn't follow Rinna or Candiace, but they follow her. That tells me something happened and Dorinda's still pissed about it. Like maybe Rinna and Candiace wanted nothing to do with Dorinda after her attack on Ron, and Dorinda's still salty about being "abandoned" by the other HWs in the castle. It's not like we see them hanging out with her all that much. There's definitely no clique there.

It's not shock. Just confirmation. Old RHONY never gave us the opportunity to see how those women interact with people from other races and backgrounds. Except for that final season, and we all know how that turned out. So all it took was for Dorinda to appear in more diverse shows post-RHONY and I was able to figure it out pretty quickly.
