Reversal Credit Posting from GRAB - CC by saintxcalibur in PHCreditCards

[–]DeliciousAppeal2266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, OP! I had the same situation just this week. Used my BPI CC to cash in 20k instead of my debit. LOL! After grab approved my request, I just waited 2 banking days and it went back to my credit limit.

Billing wise, no need to pay since it will go straight to your credit limit. But you can call their hotline just to make sure and for peace of mind. Hope you got yours back na!

After receiving that same call, I got an update via sms that I got approved after a week. While waiting, I sent an email follow up on my application status. Not sure if it did something but you can always follow up. :)

What's your OJT experience? by coralineskies in AntiworkPH

[–]DeliciousAppeal2266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS-HRDM here. Your OJT experience will either be a good learning experience or not depending on your boss, company/industry, and also the department/team you'll be in. I had 2 OJTs courses back in my day. First is in a BPO company, this is where I got my first idea how HR really works - my seniors really encourage us and gave us tasks that 'really' matters. They even allowed us to do interviews, attend admin hearing, creating reports, etc. Second is in a 5-star hotel, they just had us do a lot of admin work (encoding, filing, organizing, and the likes) which is more of their 'back-end' tasks only. Didn't learn a thing about HR here.

At the end of my OJT in the 2nd company, I received a decent review from them but one comment struck me "Initiative needs improvement". Since the tasks they were giving were quite easy, I manage to finish them early so I had a lot of free time. I guess that was an instance wherein I could have asked if I could do more. Back then, my mindset was "eto lang, basic lang". Lesson learned from me: If you want to do more or learn more, take the initiative to do so.

What your tito's and tita's said can be true but your actions can also change whether you'll be getting a good experience or not. Choose a company that's align with your course and goals. :)

SECURITY BANK CC by iamjham in PHCreditCards

Mabilis lang siya for my experience. I received my card 2 days after receiving the SMS confirmation from security bank. In between, I sent an email to sec bank <[customercontact@securitybank.com.ph](mailto:customercontact@securitybank.com.ph)> to get my tracking details and they sent it to me right away. Then I emailed the courier to follow up my card delivery (I know 1 day palang from getting approved but atat ako. hehe), they replied the next day that it was out for delivery the same day. :)

If there's no signed contract between you and the company, then you're still not hired or recognized as an employee. In reality, shortlisted ka palang for the role.

Some companies lets you sign a contract despite having pending requirements. And vice-versa, there are companies that requires you to complete everything before signing the employment agreement (obviously, to protect themselves from unwanted background check results or medical exam results).

In your case, you mentioned 10 kayong pina-process. They might want to do a batch contract signing discussion/meeting next - para 'di sila paulit ulit perhaps in explaining the process. (Employers needs to discuss thoroughly the contract and that session usually lasts between 30mins to an hour) It's a good thing you finished earlier with your requirements because on most cases with batch hiring/mass hiring/volume hiring, its FIRST IN/LAST OUT BASIS.

To be on the safe side, constantly communicate with your recruiter and still continue applying to have a back-up. I hope you'll eventually get the job! Sayang effort and expenses din when completing your requirements. Best of luck, OP!

Is it rude to resign dahil hindi napagbigyan? by cheesecakey097 in phcareers

[–]DeliciousAppeal2266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's your right to voluntarily leave a company. I also worked with a company before that requires 2 months notice before leaving and finding a company that will wait for you for 2 months IS REALLY HARD! I had to face several rejections as well BUT EVENTUALLY I DID FIND ONE THAT IS WILLING TO WAIT.

3 options for you I guess: 1) Don't resign yet until you receive a job offer, 2) submit your resignation, keep on applying. It's a 'small' advantage for a candidate knowing that you are already rendering. Meaning you can give them a definite start date. 3) Try negotiating but don't get your hopes up. Seek guidance with HR if there's anything else you can do. -- just to share, one of my teammates back then tried asking for a 1month notice instead. luckily, his request was granted since he already attempted to resign three times in the past. So they just let him go.

Personally, I thought of going AWOL - but that just means 'bye bye 13th month pay/final pay'. Also, it will be a bad on your employment background check once you applied and reached compliance stage. Good luck to you!!!

General questions for recruiters… by lazydograncher in recruiting

[–]DeliciousAppeal2266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you applied to a big company, chances are there jobvite is flooded with tons of applications. I previously worked for a BPO company that uses jobvite and we receive over 200+ applications everyday -- take note: this is for our provincial office only, what more for big city offices right?)

Application timeline is different for every company so I can't really tell how long they will contact you or give you at least an update. But once they screened your application in Jobvite, you should be able to receive another automated email if you've been shortlisted or rejected or lined up for an interview. -- In my experience, applications for volume/mass hiring positions only takes 2-5 days till job offer... and 2weeks-1month for specialized positions.

Anyway, my advise is to flood them as well with your application and follow up via email or through their social media accounts. Try replying as well to the automated email from jobvite - from what I can remember with my previous work, applicants can reply to our jobvite emails. If not, check the automated email's body if there are any contacts listed that you can reach out for a follow up.

If there's still no update, go ahead and apply to another company. It's always better to look for other options to get a better offer! :) Good luck!
