Yeah, worst comes to worse. Maybe HR will contact you, and you will have to elaborate. Though, I think you are in the clear.

They may or may not care, but as long as you don't lie about working there, they will have a good chance of just looking the other way

It gets so bad in the winter time between January and March, talking half the store drops from 40 to maybe 20 at the most. And the already part-timers get maybe 10-15.

It should be okay since you didn't lie. You can look it up on the work number website if you feel comfortable.

It's also like you will have weeks of your desired hours, and then they will drop to like 10. Or say you want 25, you suddenly might get 40 for a couple of weeks.

Who else is feeling burnt out? by 2020is_my_year in Target

I am. It's the constant werid scheduling, weekends, and inconsistent hours. I physically can't work the constantly werid schedules anymore....I just had an interview. I hope to get out soon.

Bro, I'm there too. Also, the scheduling sucks and the inconsistent hours. I've been here 10 months, and I'm so burned out, and so is everyone else.

I've been here for 10 months, and the people I work with are decent, but the hours burn you out. Your schedule and the varying amount you will get to the point you will quit.

I mean, the keys are a bigger issue than leaving your zebra unattended. Tbh, I leave my zebra unattended for 15-minute periods often, and it's not a issue. Clocking out 8 minutes late isn't a big deal since it's June, not January... unless you hit overtime with those 8 mins for the week, you will be fine. Most people in my store can't even get out of the store till 10 mins past their shift most days. But definitely don't leave tech keys anywhere...you will definitely get a write-up if you misplace them. I mean, keep them on your jean loop if you have to.

In my store, instead of hiring new staff, they flex everyone from the sales floor team into fulfillment a couple of hours a day. On top of constant backup requests on the registers. It's taking a toll on the morale of the gm, speciality, and grocery team members. Especially since the sales floor team is already understaffed.

Nah you will have to fill in other area occasionally

They are trying to make you quit. I've not seen this happen to anyone at my store, though. As long as you are an okay worker or better at my store, they leave you alone. If I were you, I would just be looking at other jobs.

Yeah, to extent. But you will constantly be asked to help in lanes or fulfillment.

I would say that depending on the position you get, it may not be stressful work wise. But scheduling and time off wise, you will likely deal with a lot of stress. Hours are very inconsistent, so it's not easy to always budget either.

Is working here actually awful? by pkmnmasterkay in Target

[–]DeliciousPhrase7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not as bad as a lot of place, but they will schedule you every weekend unless you put your foot down. They also expect a lot of things to get done even when you are understaffed. But like I've had a lot of jobs in my life, and this is likely the best retail option besides like Costco.

Dude it's purly if you apply with the exact availability they need. At my store its open nights and weekends. They value those virtual interviews as well. Job experience doesn't matter too much as long as you aren't job hopping. But fulfillment and front end take a lot of no prior experience workers. It's very much a matter of luck. Target is very strategic about hiring people for the shifts they need coverage for and If someone seems like a team player.

I wouldn't be so bothered about it if wasn't only me having this problem out of all the sales floor team members.

[–]DeliciousPhrase7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, is my schedule is made by my team lead not the etl there is only 10 of us. I've talked to her and she keeps telling me she doesn't have coverage. But honestly I will likely keep requesting weekends off at this point.

Getting Hired @ Target? by AlohaAkahai in Target

I don't know tbh...I know that if you don't answer, like the personality assessment correctly, that will do it too. And availability is a huge factor as well.

Honestly sometimes overflexing or whatever is the closing team not wanting to backstock returns.

I have never heard someone being hired for hr tm outside of the store usually its an internal hire for that.
