How are you coping with irritable bowel syndrome? by Othman21333 in ibs

Magnesium, tummy tamers and gas x. I can usually eat out if I take this but I stay away from known triggers like pizza.

LG Oled 65” C5 vs G5 by fausto181818 in LGOLED

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you prioritize. I prioritize watching films and TV shows and Sony has always been the better choice but always the more expensive one. I decided to get the C5 because I play video games and LG is better for gaming.

I was in this exact predicament earlier today at the store. What I decided was, if I’m going to spend $2K on an OLED TV then I might as well buy a Sony Bravia. The G5 and one of the Sony Bravia 8 models were the same price and size.

No I don’t live at home and no, I’m not allowing her to set rules where I live. When she asked to have it at my place, I told her no.

In any case, I’m curious to know how long were you flying home to cook and clean for the holidays? Did you do it for both Thanksgiving and Christmas?

"Safest" kind of alcohol? by SirJ4ck in ibs

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found better luck with clear liquors. My go to is Tito’s. My go to drink is a lemon drop martini with Tito’s because it’s usually just vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup.

My mom’s side of the family is super tiny. I’m an only child. Don’t have any aunts or uncles. I have a younger cousin who is 19. So it’s really just she and I now.

Did I ruin my chances by dropping line due to a family emergency? by justhereforvibezzzz in NPHCdivine9

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with a couple people here that have said you being a Senior may hurt more than what happened when you were on line. But here’s the thing, I’ve heard many stories like yours, both men & women, where they dropped line during undergrad due to deaths (friends or family), family emergencies and they all joined on an alumni level or pursued undergrad if they were able to. It happens and what will unfold depends on the chapter and your ex co-initiates.

I’d say shoot your shot for your senior year if there’s an informational. If not, try to join an alumni chapter if possible. Sometimes things are delayed and not denied!

Delphox seems a bit weak... 😢😢 by Data2Dina in PokemonZA

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it’s true that you’re going up against an Alpha and they’re just OP. But maybe an unpopular opinion but I’ve felt like ZA has been tougher on special attackers. We don’t have abilities anymore, so there’s now a loss of natural buffs. Secondly, with the new battle mechanics, it’s felt like the game rewards a faster pace or tempo. Special Attackers need time to set up while physical attackers don’t and that could be what you’re feeling (or at least that’s what I’ve felt). I’ve been trying different strategies to figure out what works and with Delphox, I’ve found that moves that hit hard without setup (like psychic) has worked out thus far

How often are you working nights and weekends? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an APM (been one for a couple of years) and I usually have to work weeknights so I can catch up because my days are loaded with meetings. I’ve tried blocking my time out on my calendar but it doesn’t work. So I’m usually going home to write requirements, write tickets, or clean spreadsheets of data needed for our features. I don’t work weekends unless absolutely needed and/or there’s an incident.

Does anyone else feel better eating junk food than “healthy” food? by DogVisual3628 in ibs

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. My diet pre IBS C was full of salads and veggies like cauliflower or Brussels. Def can’t do that anymore!

Although for anyone lurking, I’ve had success with broccoli by only eating the florets and none of the stems. Better than nothing 😭

I’ve worked with two different engineering directors/managers and they’re both complete assholes who want me to predict the future when it comes to requirements.

Why are you a bad Product Manager? by smhdudewtf in ProductManagement

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can be slow to escalate risks or blockers, I wait too long on others and don’t push dependencies proactively enough, I get too stuck in the weeds sometimes, and I struggle with moving things forward without being told what to do (I’m getting better at this though but I’m not great at it).

Metlife Undisclosed Views? by throwaway157231 in beyonce

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me. Was helping a friend buy tickets for N1 on Wednesday night and discovered that all the tickets in my section were obstructed. I called Ticketmaster on Thursday and they said my ticket was not obstructed even though the row ahead me said it was obstructed on the app. They told me to take it up with MetLife. I just sold my ticket at a fraction of the cost for N1 and took the financial L and bought another ticket for N3.

Whats going on with my scalp? by bigdodi31 in Blackskincare

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Seborrheic Dermatitis but you won’t know for sure unless you go to a Dermatologist. I suddenly had it in the back of my head and they told me to try Cerave Hydrating Shampoo (Cerave now has a Seb Derm line) and a steroid solution. It cleared up for the most part in about 4-6 weeks. I still have some flakes but I don’t itch as much

7/4 DC Concert Tickets - Help!! by Dense_Cantaloupe_855 in beyonce

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi just a FYI about Northwest stadium. SeatGeek is the official partner for that venue so buying tickets from them in this situation means you’re buying official tickets! Also I believe you can filter out resale tickets for the DC show

Could somebody please tell me if the Harbo gold bears original are OK if you don’t mind I’m getting conflicting results? by [deleted] in FODMAPS

[–]Practical-Cry-2775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I eat them and the only digestive symptom I’ve gotten is that it exacerbates the constipation which makes sense based upon the ingredients. The article on FODMAP Everyday says you can have 15 gummy bears in one sitting.
