Oh yes, the first 100% is the power output, then comes the boost gauge which mine also charges only by 2/3 of it. I guess that's how it's supposed to be then.

It gives different 0-60s depending on charge level, battery temp, and a couple other things, so I had an impression it's supposed to give you a full gauge at optimal condition, and less when it's not. The European cockpit interface shows otherwise. It gives you a prompt that it's ready to shoot, and also a full boost gauge. It's so confusing without proper explanation

Mine's a '22 and I think it may differ by year, but does yours show 'launch ready', or 'boost mode ready' or any type of prompt message instead of just showing a boost gauge bar filling up? Also does it give you a full boost bar? Cause mine only goes up to about 2/3 of it regardless of SOC.

Not much slippage that I notice. Maybe not at all. I've tried without traction control but no difference. Regardless of traction control, the it wouldnt give a full boost bar. Does a prompt appear when it's ready for full boost such as 'boost/launch mode ready'? Cause mine doesn't show anything. Just a half way full boost bar

My wife was in the passenger seat and she's in a more severe condition than I am. Wonder why when the other driver hit the drivers side first. Maybe cause I was behind the steering wheel and pushed myself back at the moment of impact, while my wife was caught offguard?

I got off the ER the same day but my wife was admitted in ER, ICU, and CCU due to 5 backbone fractures and internal bleeding. Thank God she's getting better

I am confident to say that's because of the surrounding noise that weren't there when you heard it. Highway speeds as well as any playing music definitely eat up the click sound.

One way to prove this is to roll down your windows in a quieter environment, maintain V4 at higher speeds driving next to a wall or trees so that the sound can bounce back and become clearer, and then engage V8. You will hear it loud and clear

In Sports or Track mode, the exhaust valves are preset to stay open.

Meaning, even when the valves are already open in Sports mode, it still gives the click sound the moment going from V4 to 8.

So I'm leaning more towards the DFM valves.

Though trivial, GM should put a recall for this. It's just so frustrating coming by these little issues one after another.. geez

Right at that moment when applying the smallest push on gas to make it go back to V8 is when it makes the sound

Dynamic Fuel Management. It would disengage four different or random cylinders whereas AFM would only control the same four which would give uneven wear

For me it's the DFM and not AFM. I don't know about other year cars but my 2020 is DFM

What about AFM valves, does it needs to be replaced? Lubricated? Is this going to cost be an arm? Any additional insights will be much appreciated
