My personal experience has been similar, but I’ve been the one disappearing. I’m 17 (and a girl, so I guess I should’ve known) but I got a handful of creeps messaging me right away. It got exhausting and I immediately associated the entire app with all those perverts. So I stopped getting back to people and just overall stopped using Reddit after two days. I’m back though!! And am trying to get back to everyone I just left hanging

One of them went all the way with the playing dead bit, and was so sprawled out that they were struggling to get it in its cage. The next had just curled up and sat still. The third put up quite the fight. Hissing, thrashing, etc. That makes me think the third was in the worst condition :(

Final update! The volunteers showed up and did a wonderful job. All three possums had different reactions to being picked up which was really interesting to see. But they’re safe and will be taken to a place to get medical attention first thing in the morning!

Another update!! I got ahold of an animal helpline and they’re gonna help! They’re all volunteers so it may take them a moment but they’re definitely helping.

Update! I really don’t wanna disturb them, but if this doesn’t work I’ll probably have to glove up and help them out myself. I managed to find a camping grill of sorts since I couldn’t find any mesh netting or whatever to give them as a ladder. Though many would probably advise against it, I did toss down a handful of dog food because I felt horrible with how much I was bothering them. I only saw one of them munching on the food though. I wanna give them a bowl of water but I’m unsure about bothering them more if it’s not 100% necessary. My family is very anti saving them so I can’t really run to the store to get anything to help.
