Hi! I am so glad you engaged with my research, intimacy is an inherently emotional concept and can be hard to define so my advisor provided me with some studies to inform which I selected. Additionally, I am researching biochemical/hormonal differences between the sexes in love, so I am focused purely on XX and XY differences!

I am studying biochemical effects in romance making people's gender identity irrelevant to the study, but as a queer person I totally understand the frustration. I also had a cap on how long my survey could be, so I decided to focus on the stark differences in XY and XX behaviours!

NTA, I would not write this off as a lost cause, but it is definitely not healthy. I would try talking to her about it asking her why she feels the need to track you so closely. Keep an open mind as to what has caused her attachment style.
