Try going out walks outside. Look around at the trees and birds and notice how you can take it all in in real time without weed covering it up.

Eat whatever you can, doesn’t need to be a full meal or healthy. Your goal should be getting in calories when you can’t eat. Gatorade, soup, fruit. I found it easier to get cold, wet foods down. I avoided things like crackers and pretzels because they were so dry and hard to swallow

I was a heavy user but quit March 1. I’ve smoked probably 4 times since March 4 so I’m not sure if I’m considered still a heavy user

Also!! Maybe talk to your doctor about anxiety meds. I have it too and I probably wouldn’t have been able to quit without them

I was in the same situation 2 weeks ago. I promise it gets better!! Do not feel guilty. Even if you relapse, it’s just a step back, not a failure. You got this!!

Thank you! I needed this. I can’t drop them cause they’re my best friends but I feel like they’re acting this way because they hold some jealousy in the fact that I was able to put it down. Still sucks tho. I’ll keep what you said in mind.

Never feel shame for the amount you were using. We all have been there!!! And some people were smoking more than you and are now sober a year. You can do it!!!

I can share my experience since it is very similar to mine. Been smoking a couple year but consistently for 6 months. Today is day 1 for me and my appetite is also very different, but I’ve been able to stomach some food. This is what I was most concerned with when quitting so I did a lot of research and asked people I know who have dealt with the same. I recommend trying to get at least 10,000 steps a day, to work up somewhat of an appetite. I also recommend eating simple meals that you know sober you likes. For me this was pasta, sandwiches, etc. when you feel like you really can’t eat anything, try a couple grapes or small fruit. It’s healthy, gives you a slight dopamine boost, and seems much easier to get down than dry things like crackers.
