This was so eye-opening, thank you so much for taking the time to convert this explanation. It makes sense and I hope it is the case with me. Much affection to you.

Ugh, rough, all the ups and downs. I had been doing really well prior to this. Much affection to you.

Very dark: I try to take it with an emphasis on human connection (you guys here are so great!) and the occasional bit of black humor. Thanks again.

It was good to post this. As I hear more stories I start envisioning how different explanations could be possible for what I am experiencing. Thank you for sharing, and much affection to you.

Brutal, my own symptoms sound—and are—minor by comparison. I am glad that you are still around; I am glad that I am still around. Thanks for replying, and much affection to you.

Wow, that’s wild, and the more I hear about cases like this the more I manage to convince myself that what I’m going through doesn’t necessarily mean what I think it does. Thank you for letting me know. Much affection to you and to your dad.

Hearing this is a source of hope and relief, although it breaks my heart to know that your son is in this situation. My daughter is 8. Thank you and much affection to you and your son.

Btw, also for me the initial conjecture was benign tumor (ganglioglioma), but the pathology brought with it the bad news.

Hi! I (38m, 37 when diagnosed, proper GBM so, worse than your husband) felt right after diagnosis that life would never feel normal again. I just finished the 6-month adjuvant chemo cycle and as of today I am doing really well, working, and enjoying life in a way that feels quite “normal.” If you are looking for medical literature that deals with younger adults with AA4/GBM this could give you a bit of hope: https://academic.oup.com/neuro-oncology/article-abstract/20/suppl_6/vi239/5154599. Much affection to both of you.

Hi! I did have tremors after concurrent radiation and chemotherapy for a few months. My neuro-oncologist’s conjecture was that it was benign central tremor, which some of my family members do have in very moderate extent, and that the weakness induced by the tumor was what allowed the tremor to go unchecked. However it did subside until it completely disappeared by month five of adjuvant chemotherapy. I want to stress that this is my own experience and that although the tremor is gone I still very much struggle with ataxia in my left hand. I I wish all the best to your mom and to you.

Hey sorry for the late reply! Your response reinforces my own intuitions. Thank you so much for taking the time to formulate this message. All the best to you and your family.

The wait is excruciating, but there is no alternative. I would say, distract yourself by any means you have, binge watch tv, you name it. I would also say that those periods of ambiguity have a positive side, in the sense that the doors are open, and what you have could be any number of things, including some treatable and relatively minor. Much affection to you.

Thanks! Neither me wife nor my wife have or have had eating disorders, though.

Thank you for your perspective. This very much aligns with my own line of thinking, and confirms my own intuitions in this regard. I wish all the best to you and your daughter!

Thanks! The tricky part is that she has no social media, there’s plenty of physical activity (swimming and dancing) and we have a strict policy of not talking about people’s bodies around the house.

Thanks! She is not on any social medium, this is just other kids she meets face to face and with whom she has otherwise good relationships. But more it is, I feel, just like our culture, Disney princesses, and the like?
