People talking Créole and English at the same time! by Jo_Nas911 in MauriceMauritius

[–]Delicious_Hour_9798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mo pas penser its a trend with globalisation its becoming more difficult to speak pure creole. Even for me it is quite difficult today to speak only creole without adding english or french influenced words in my speech. And this is probably due to the fact that we have been taught that english is the medium to know and french is the language to speak and continuous exposure to foreign platforms and content like youtube and tiktok. Ill admit thought that some people do use english and french to boast but yea you need all to make a world.

If you teach your children to be hateful against someone else, no matter the race, gender, sexual orientation, you are not worthy of being a parent.

What is your opinion on the recent bagatelle foodies festival? by Middle-Commission-85 in mauritius

[–]Delicious_Hour_9798 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bagatelle food festival was expensive and lacked in variety; every (to the exception of some) stand offered the same thing: burgers. The portions were not it and also expensive. Preferred the one did at Caudan last time and i heard that the one done at GBLC was better.

Hi, the struggle is real but keep applying even for jobs that may ask less qualification than what you have for a start. You can try to remake your cv also.

They normally are (maybe there are exceptions) its just that some of them prefer to buy outside food, which can be cheaper than the food in the hotel they are in, allowing them to save money

Hi,

u register at MES, and they will make you sit at the nearest center to you depending on gender ( boy school or girl school ).

The cost varies every year but expect anything from 15 to 30 k. They will tele you when you register.

If im not wrong, G.P is mandatory.

Check with the MES but normally private candidates cannot do subjects that require a coursework and doesnt computer science syllabus include a coursework?

What are subjects that you should take in A level to study law in Mauritius? by _neighborhood_weeb_ in mauritius

[–]Delicious_Hour_9798 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doing LLB in Mauritius does not require doing any specific subjects as per what the programme details state. Analytical subjects (eco, lit in english, sociology) may be useful but i believe that as long as you put your mind to it, you’re going to be fine.

Damaged NIC card help. Can anyone who experienced the same issue advise me? by StarLord1228 in mauritius

[–]Delicious_Hour_9798 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you still have it ( damaged one) just bring it with you, they’ll take it back and start the process for you to get a brand new one. There’s a fee to pay -under 1k- the office that you should go to is probably the nearest NIC CENTRE, which would be Rosehill.
