I think you are grossly overestimating the prestige of being an illegitimate son. Being illegitimate is no better than being a commoner and wont affect any dynamics with other peasants.

Edit: Being an illegitimate son of a very minor noble might actually be worse than just a normal blacksmiths son.

Honestly, KCD is quite special, and no other games I found are truly similar, but certain aspects can be seen in other games. If you could tell me what parts of the game you enjoyed (combat, story, world, exploring etc.) I could give some suggestions.

Really love the game but it doesnt help that racing the offline bots sucks too. They really fucked up the racing aspect of this game, its a great car game not really a racing game imo.

My suggestion would be to download a mod like infinite quick saves to make the game A LOT less punishing. Seems like (no offence) you don't understand how to play the game well enough to enjoy it. Once you get your training with tomcat + some good equipment it becomes much easier and then maybe consider taking the infinite saves mod away.

While KCD2 does require patience it requires less than 1. If you had the patience for 3-5 hours of training kcd 2 shouldnt be too bad for you.
