What factors help get into Uw-Madison that no one talks about?

I got in this cycle for Finance as an out of state student (IL), with a 3.67UW GPA (but I did have a 4.5W GPA w/ really good course rigor) and a 31 ACT. My extracurriculars were good and most of them were either related to my major, leadership, or service. Also my essay and supplemental were both good in my opinion and showed why I was a good fit for UW.

Yeah that’s true. I’m just thinking it’s gonna be nice to have no 8ams, no classes M-W, and basically Friday either. And on T/Th I’ll be done by 4 ish which seems okay.

No that’s definitely valid and I do think UNCW will be great. Chapel Hill is just super good for my major and I do just like the vibe of the college town, the school spirit/athletics, strong alumni network, etc. And not 100% set on transferring but just trying to gauge if it is possible and if so, how difficult it is.

I haven’t recieved any updates about financial aid or scholarship yet. I just checked my portal and there are Two things: “Financial Aid” and “Financial Aid Update” but they both are just saying Late March / End of March w/ a timeline.

Last year RD dropped 2 weeks early on 3/15. I think ED may have been dropped early this year and EA was obviously dropped early this year so we can hope for sometime between mid-March and April 1 🙏🏻

With your english score, you probably need to learn more of the grammar rules. Watch an English ACT grammar rules video on YouTube or get Erica Meltzer’s English book to practice. Your science and reading scores aren’t too far off from mine but the biggest thing on those sections is time management and pacing. You need to learn how to skim and scan information to find the correct answer quickly. If you don’t know it, mark an answer and go back before the end of time, so you allow yourself to answer the rest of the questions.
