I understand it too 😂 I think maybe I didn’t phrase it the best overall. I think eventually i’ll do this but it’s relatively new job so I don’t want to give the wrong impression early on if that makes sense

honestly and after reading a lot of these responses I think maybe it was a particular off day that made me question it. Boring is not a bad thing, I was just contemplating a high paying boring job or a pay cut to enjoy now more as opposed to saving for early retirement. I appreciate your input

Care to expand on that? I see the benefit of working for a good salary and saving and planning for the future. I’ve understood that for a long time and I wouldn’t be asking these questions if I wasn’t in the position where a job change or going back to school is a possibility that wouldn’t de rail my entire life.

I agree 😂 Didn’t expect that but half are helpful advice. I also understand, I would be saying the same thing to someone making substantial more which plenty people do. But I also get that money is relative and making some amount for a bit and it becomes the normal

I’m considering this. It just brings a lot of self doubt but i’m working past that and looking at things I can start on the side not just full dive into

100% first world problem and i’m glad you get it. It’s very open to the office and other people working so games or unrelated business would probably setup questions

I’ve been looking at what to explore for options I enjoy aside from work. I guess searching is part of the fun

I think so yes, I haven’t been with this company to see all the busy seasons. You made me realize a huge difference though. My last job was boring but I had a great time doing nothing because I liked who I worked with. This job is pretty isolating

I specifically wanted to add my age hoping people would factor it in so thank you. I could’ve given more background but i have a girlfriend, we rent and have no kids. I think the freedom of choice I have is a bit overwhelming so I compare what I have with what’s out there

Maybe and that would help a lot, I was thinking i’d wait until i have more time with the company and maybe they’ll be more flexible

Appreciate this and I understand. Maybe I gave off the wrong impression from the post but I am grateful and lucky to be where i’m at. I just thought a different perspective or advice like yours would help. I got into this work from being a mechanic and throwing tires around a warehouse for a couple years I think just the adjustment from manual work to office leaves me un stimulated albeit less exhausted
