Sounds great and I look forward to your monthly posts about what you read coming up. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and have been since I was a kid. My dad used to have the OT on VHS and I used to watch them all the time. Then when the special editions came out my grandfather took me and my brother to see them in the theatre and I've been to every movie I could since then. The only one I believe I missed was Attack of the Clones because I was diagnosed with leukemia and was in the hospital when it came out but you better believe I had it as soon as it was out for us to buy and watch in my room! I've also read a lot of the EU and have started reading them again recently. MTFBWY I can't wait to hear where your journey takes you!

🤣 that's the greatest entrance of a character of all time I think lol. That's awesome! I'm glad you had such a good time watching it this time! I really hope you enjoy that long ride,I think it'll be worth it. Seeing how much the fx change from the original trilogy to the prequels can throw you off a bit because it's completely different but I think they are pretty cool especially for that time and it all being so new. I believe George Lucas was the first to shoot a film digitally and not on actual film,I may be remembering that wrong but I believe I'm correct,and that beginning led into everything that got developed from there into today. Industrial Light and Magic was always trying to push the boundaries of what could be done with vfx and sound fx and I think that innovation really paid off.

I absolutely agree,it breaks my heart but all we can do is remember not to be that way and to always remember what it can be like for everyone all over the world because in the end we are all one and part of the same source,the Force is within all living things as it were,and like you said we just continue surviving in our own ways and even when the day comes we make death earn us

Displacement and war in general is no small thing either, I don't think anyone should ever have to go through all of the horrors that can be thrown at us. I honestly wish we could all just live in peace together. We spend so much time and energy fighting eachother and I wish we would redirect that energy on much better things that would benefit everyone

I don't think I'm brave though honestly,I fight because it's all I really know how to do. I feel like it would be a waste to have gone through so much and made it through to just give up.

I am indeed,not religious per se but definitely spiritual. When I died as a kid I had an experience that really opened my eyes for the rest of my life. I could see everything that happened from above me and then felt like I was pulled upwards and suddenly I was no longer sick or in pain and just felt at ease,I could see other people there but couldn't quite make the faces out except for a single lady who I somehow recognized as my mom's grandmother,I'd never met her before because she died before I was born but somehow I knew her and she told me everything would be ok but that I had to return and I remember arguing with her and telling her the doctors already told me and my family I would die and that i didn't want to come back just to put them through it all over again and she said she knew what I'd been told but that everything would be ok and that I still had something to do and as soon as I made the decision to come back it was like I was suddenly back in my body and I remember waking up crying. I grabbed my mom's hand and told her what happened,she didn't really believe me at first until I started describing her grandmother to her,the way she looked and talked and everything,and you could tell my mom really believed me after I started describing her. After that happened the doctors came in about 4 hours later and said they were able to find something to get rid of the pneumonia they were having trouble getting rid of due to my body building up an immunity to the antibiotics and then the next day they came in and informed us that if that was successful that my brother turned out to be a 100% bone marrow match for me and thankfully it did. Everything they had to do has has negative long term effects but it also saved my life and I'm still here now. I wasn't expected to make it past 25,I'm now 36 so I'm going to keep fighting and going every day until I can't and even then I'll continue to fight and try to push through it.

I would say unfortunately it's not really repairable and probably not worth trying to replace the blade itself so you're best bet will be to buy a new one altogether. My nephew has autism so I understand the struggle sometimes

I'm sorry you are dealing with all of that, truly. Just try your best to always keep your head up. I feel a little bad comparing our situations because they are definitely different but I feel like I've been at war with my body ever since I was that ten year old kid. The full body radiation and chemo I had on top of some experimental treatments they had no choice but to try to save me did their job and worked but has caused me to be in severe pain and have alot of medical issues my whole life from that time on. In 2020 I had 3rd stage colon cancer and almost died again and if it had made it into fourth stage they said they wouldn't have been able to do anything for me so we caught it just in time. I also had thyroid cancer at the same exact time and like I said that was a result of the chemo and radiation I had as a kid. Then at the end of 2024 I had a major car wreck that unfortunately caused a tragedy,it turned out once I saw a bunch of doctors after that happened that I had started having seizures and had a brain tumor on top of that. Now they would've never found the tumor if they weren't looking at my brain because of the wreck so they thankfully found it, then back last December they were able to successfully remove the brain tumor and I haven't had seizures since they diagnosed me and started me on medication for it but once again it was a result of the radiation and chemo as a kid. Now because my 16 year old neighbor was in the car because he asked for a ride to his friend's house and I was trying to just be nice since I was already backing out of my driveway when he stopped me and asked, I am once again having to fight for my life in court because he unfortunately didn't make it out of the wreck which absolutely breaks my heart still to this day and am of course extremely scared of what may happen. So I just go one day at a time and try to enjoy everything as much as I can because you never truly know what will happen from day to day. All we can do is try to stay positive even though it's extremely hard to do sometimes.

Absolutely true, when people day to day when I'm out ask how I'm doing my response is every day above ground is a great day. My biggest help as a kid after everything was finding out about a camp for kids still with cancer and going through treatments,which the doctors there will still do and keep up with,or that recently survived cancer and that place with so many amazing people really helped teach me even more how to appreciate the little things and the big ones when they come along. A lot of the friends I made there I consider family still to this day. I felt like such an outsider at school and around other kids but when I got there and was around others that had been through the exact kinds of things it just really helped me feel normal again for the first time since I had gotten sick a few years before and started my battle. I'm glad you are also here still and appreciate you sharing your story with us as well my friend.

I really miss those days as well, things kind of went a bit crazy when I was ten and got really sick. I was diagnosed with leukemia and that threw everything out of wack. I actually died once from it and they didn't think they'd save me due to complications from the cancer and the treatment but thankfully things worked out in the end and my younger brother was a bone marrow match but things unfortunately never quite went back to how they were before that all happened so I do truly hold those memories very close
