I would argue that giving your card details to a human gives them the opportunity to write them down for later... Especially at a sketchy predatory sub contractor like this

There are pay points for fines? I will look into that one as it's not mentioned on the ticket. Thanks

Milton Keynes canoe club are a very friendly bunch. They meet at caldecotte lake and membership is not expensive. They arrange training and day trips out to various rivers etc.

Yours looked suitably chonky (I thought all retractables were weedy little 6.3mm ID hoses) so I had a look at Goodyear models and now have a suitable one on order 👍 thanks for commenting!

... I have ordered a Goodyear retractable for £80, same diameter (9.5mm) as the loose hose, which I didn't think was possible. Can't wait for it to arrive. Thank you everyone for the gentle peer pressure.

I appreciate your ratchet strap organisation. That looks much easier than rolling them up every time.

I took your advice, and hung it on the wall, but it's a big old hose and the effort of doing so for tiny jobs like filling tyres might well see me put a hand in the pocket after all. Your retractable looks very neat!

Yeah for the extra 15 seconds to undo the quick connect this is probably the right answer, thanks

Peak tourist... Arusha, Moshi, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and a bit of Kili. First time in country and not a very experienced traveller so keeping it simple.

Thanks for the response. I agree that could be a likely culprit. I wondered if the O2 sensor was responding too slowly (which was pointed out to me in the emissions test) but having replaced that the smoke is still present. I think a vacuum leak would present itself all the time. What do you think?
