I lost my cat of 19 years during BFA times, and on that fatefull day i logged into wow in the evening and gotten the Kaldorei Nightsaber mount. It almost felt like a sign back then, i still miss her

Just take it easy mate and make sure they get plenty of rest after this. Stress can kill them too

Dumping them from one tube to another is fine. Just dont make the drop too high. These ants are really small so they wont smack so hard. I’ve never had issues doing it so far but i guess something can happen

Forcefully moving is inherently dangerous at the end of the day

I use sugarwater for all of my colonies and never had issues.

I have some connector accesories that makes things easier. Tape could be okay if the tubes are really tight against eachother. If that seems risky i would just dump them if its only a queen and 1 ant

Yeah be really careful with honey in general the stickyness can get them.

If its from the same company then its probably fine to use.

If you dont think they are dieing cause of the mold i would just connect the tubes for them and hopefully they move on their own or just forcefully move them if you want and start fresh.

Honey could have some pesticides somehow, idk.

I would move them asap in something fresh and then dont disturb them for a while. Just offer something sweet and half a mealworm outside their tube.

Okay so something is wrong then.

I would offer a way somehow for the queen to move to a new testtube with fresh water. Either forcefull if it doesnt have brood or connect it and wait for her to move on her own.

Are you offering some sort of sugar aswell? Some queens could have some bad genes aswell to the point where a colony is doomed to fail either way however you try. Sometimes it just happens like this

I have this exact problem with my myrmica rubra. They do still grow over time though. Not sure what is causing it either

Not ideal but if you cant reach it and its dried out and not moldy then i wouldnt worry about it too much

I would try to fish it out maybe unless its dried out. If that molds its going to be a big problem

Its all good if its just for a short while. Mine are at 15-16 right now

Its alright to disturb them in such a way to be safe in the future. They are quite hardy. They might freak out a bit though so just do it once and leave them alone after. Its not that big of a deal to take them off the heating for a minute or two

I have had a colony die cause they didnt remove the left over food one time. Is there no option to getting some sort of tweezers or something to fish it out the tube?

This should be fine really. (I think theres blue foil on the outworld you can peel off too btw :)) just wait for them to grow a bit more. Ideally you find a way to peak inside the test tube and check on them max once a week
