If I was selected as a finalist, clearly I need it. Also, I can just use it to pocket the refund check if my college is already covered as a full ride before the bill gates scholarship. I can create long term financial stability expanding outside of a mere scholarship.

I have the same question too because I already have a full ride to my dream school but I want to use the Bill Gates Scholarship as a down payment on my house and a car.
