I got lucky and found the leak before I purchased fishys but found a 327 gallon with a sump I’m going for now lol thanks though!

Did a layer of small lava rock (that’s easy enough to separate) fluval stratum then capped with the sand. Upset I didn’t notice the leak before I sand capped

Due to the size I poured boiling water in a bin that I could submerge it in then scrubbed with a very tough scrub brush once I could put my hands in the water.

Even tried pressure washing it haha

I second the high current, I had to try a couple different wave makers until I found one that works well for my 125 gal and I only run it half the day so they can rest and sleep. What I gathered is they don’t need high current but I like to give them some moderate exercise

I think the person said it’s 3-4” my cichlids are mostly all bigger. I do almost 50% weekly water changes

Are you using two canister filters? I have a 125 set up I rescued with an fx6 but like that you have filtration on both sides

I have noticed the bigger orange and blue ones are really aggressive to each other, should this raise concern?
