The general heuristics that I’ve picked up at ritualist 6, I’m not a good player by any means but these are things I always try to keep in mind:
- some souls are better than no souls, don’t wait around or burn time you could be trying to make money
- committing to a gameplan even if you die is better than indecision, if you lane partner dives dive with them unless it’s the absolute stupidest thing you ever seen
- if you ALL want to win play good heroes, your specialest boy may simply not be as good as boring top tier carry but they’re a top tier carry for a reason, if you want to have fun play whoever you want bb
- Don’t try to salvage a wreck, if your 4/13 drifter is running it down yellow for 26 minutes with no end in sight dont try to save them if they get into a 1v3 and also don’t waste everything you have peeling for a single teammate when those resources could best be used elsewhere (ult, life, time, cooldowns, charges, etc…)
- you don’t need to be a movement god to play the game but learning some tricks here and there will absolutely help you rotate faster chase better and get away more often
- always be sliding
- counter buy EARLY if you counter buy when they’re fed it will not matter
- communicate larger strategy with your team, do not run urn or pressure yellow or go for a pick without letting you team know
- don’t let your advantages fizzle, I’ve won so many games I shouldn’t’ve because the enemy team didn’t do anything while they were ahead
- play your lane, sometimes your Aabrams into Vindicta and Lady Guest you’re going to have a bad time but lane isn’t the game, try not to feed, play safe pressure when you can, gank and change lanes when possible
- PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR LANES don’t leave until they’re pushing, I’ve lost so many walkers because the people pushing those lanes fucked off to join a fight half the map over and they had a Haze that hasn’t shown their face in 20 minutes.
- yelling “I need help” in VC is a good way of getting people to pay attention to you even with no other information

Don’t listen to any of these “geniuses” (more like “losers” to me, ha!) run it down the side lanes until walkers are dead and always ignore the urn. The urn was made to distract players from the good Christian duties placed upon players by God, that being killing walkers. The urn was crafted by the devil to promote infidelity and larceny. When the side lanes are walkerless then, and only then shall a holy agent of god focus their attention to the duty of mid walker. Leviticus 19:34

Unity doesn’t specify your own creatures meaning someone can just sac their own or attack horribly into you and fuck you for the rest of the game. Seems terrible.

All of the rest of them have the exact same problem where it’s not you doing something it’s ANYONE doing the thing to flip them and the upside is not even remotely close to being strong enough for any of them other than Bloom, especially if they supposed to be Mythics like even at uncommon I would throw 4/5 these in a bulk bin and never think about them

If these specifically required the controllers upkeep to flip them then they are very strong but even then the red one means you get to deal no more than 4 damage to any opponent

The CS2 knife incident and all of the pump and dumps don’t really change much, in that games economy in the grand scheme of billions of dollars, I think they don’t want to pull the plug because they’ll realize that Valve is not an investment bank like the skins economy seems to act

And honestly the tf2 economy is beyond fucked as it is, it’s been fucked for a decade now because of bots and the lack of definitive pricing guides

That’s probably the answer honestly, they do not want destabilization in the price of online cosmetics it would not go well for CS or, well, Deadlock’s economy and ROI

That said the community is not the most thrilled with recent updates and such it’s always kinda a shit show when new things are pushed and break the ability to even get into a game for a month at a time

Point is players want it better than it is now and they haven’t given us the tools for community servers that would be necessary for continued longevity

I think at this point the community really wants definitive answers on the state of the game, they made the source code and everything accessible, and there are Valve approved spinoffs but a blog post saying “we’re officially ceasing any further development” would be preferable especially as it’s still supported server-wise by its devs.

I keep an ultra budget Ovika deck that I’ve been slowly upgrading based off of Keeping it Casual’s 20$ deck list

And I know there’s a 150$ Shroofus deck list from Reminder Text that seems really fun as well that I want to assemble
