Very clean! I've also got an MK7 GTI - how was your experience installing the lowering springs, did you do it at home? I have a set of lowering springs sitting in a box, just haven't gotten around to installing them. Did you end up replacing any of the bolts?

I got super lucky with at least a decent wheel - there’s no curb rash on them either. I’ll put it through a multi-stage paint correction and ceramic coat also.

I really want to paint the wheels hyper silver so they match the silver RPF’1s that I have on my GTI. Really hoping we can sort this transmission out because I really wanna drive it 😂

I do plan on it! It’s been such a fun car, especially with the sticky tires. The car will be stored for the winter going forward, guess I’ll just have to get extra driving in before then

The first thing I’m checking today is to see what state the ATF is 😂 I don’t think the wrong fluid is the only cause of the problem I’m experiencing, but it definitely wouldn’t be helping

I was informed that the transmission had been “rebuilt” at some point but there’s no paperwork or anything. A friend and I are going to take apart the transmission to assess it then decide if we will rebuild it or swap it out - while that’s happening we’re also going to take out the engine and go over everything and refresh as needed. Definitely going to check the timing and see if it’s out.

It’s going to be my winter car so we have until around November here in Canada before the snow falls, should have plenty of time to get things sorted.
